Psalm 95

Psalm 95

O come, let us sing unto the Lord;
    let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
    let us make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms!

For the Lord is a great God,
    and a great King above all gods.
In His hand are the deep places of the earth;
    the heights of the mountains are also His.
The sea is His, for He made it,
    and His hands formed the dry land.

O come, let us worship and bow down;
    let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker.
For He is our God,
    and we are the people of His pasture
    and the sheep of His hand.

Today if you hear His voice,
    do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah,
    and as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,
when your fathers tested Me and tried Me,
    though they had seen My deeds.
10 For forty years I loathed that generation
    and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart,
    and they have not known My ways.”
11 Therefore I swore in My wrath,
    “They shall not enter into My rest.”

Exodus 16:1-8

Bread and Quail

16 Then they set out from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came to the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. The whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. Now the children of Israel said to them, “Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full, for you have brought us forth into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Indeed, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain amount every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not. And it shall come to pass that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it will be twice as much as they gather daily.”

So Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, “At evening, you shall know that the Lord has brought you out from the land of Egypt. And in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord, because He hears your murmurings against the Lord. And what are we that you murmur against us?” Then Moses said, “This will happen when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening and bread in the morning to satisfy, for the Lord hears your murmurings which you murmur against Him. And what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.”

Colossians 1:15-23

15 He is the image of the invisible God and the firstborn of every creature. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they are thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18 He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in all things He may have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all fullness should dwell, 20 and to reconcile all things to Himself by Him, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him, I say—whether they are things in earth, or things in heaven.

21 And you, who were formerly alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and above reproach in His sight, 23 if you continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and are not removed from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
