New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)
Version
Psalm 121

Psalm 121[a]

The Lord My Guardian

A song of ascents.

I raise my eyes toward the mountains.[b]
    From whence shall come my help?(A)
My help comes from the Lord,
    the maker of heaven and earth.(B)

He will not allow your foot to slip;(C)
    or your guardian to sleep.
Behold, the guardian of Israel
    never slumbers nor sleeps.
[c]The Lord is your guardian;
    the Lord is your shade
    at your right hand.(D)
By day the sun will not strike you,
    nor the moon by night.(E)
The Lord will guard you from all evil;
    he will guard your soul.(F)
The Lord will guard your coming and going
    both now and forever.(G)

Isaiah 51:1-3

Chapter 51

Exhortation to Trust in the Lord

Listen to me, you who pursue justice,
    who seek the Lord;
Look to the rock from which you were hewn,
    to the quarry[a] from which you were taken;(A)
Look to Abraham, your father,
    and to Sarah, who gave you birth;
Though he was but one when I called him,
    I blessed him and made him many.(B)
Yes, the Lord shall comfort Zion,
    shall comfort all her ruins;
Her wilderness he shall make like Eden,
    her wasteland like the garden of the Lord;
Joy and gladness shall be found in her,
    thanksgiving and the sound of song.

2 Timothy 1:3-7

Thanksgiving. (A)I am grateful to God, whom I worship with a clear conscience as my ancestors did,[a] as I remember you constantly in my prayers, night and day. [b]I yearn to see you again, recalling your tears, so that I may be filled with joy, as I recall your sincere faith that first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and that I am confident lives also in you.(B)

II. Exhortations to Timothy

The Gifts Timothy Has Received. For this reason, I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God[c] that you have through the imposition of my hands.(C) For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control.(D)
