Version
Psalm 97

97 1 The Prophet exhorteth all to rejoice for the coming of the kingdom of Christ, 7 dreadful to the rebels and idolaters,  8 and joyful to the just, whom he exhorteth to innocency, 12 to rejoicing and thanksgiving.

The [a]Lord reigneth: let the earth rejoice: let the [b]multitude of the Isles be glad.

[c]Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the foundation of his throne.

There shall go a fire before him, and burn up his enemies round about.

His lightnings gave light unto the world: the earth saw it and was [d]afraid.

The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

[e]Confounded be all they that serve graven images, and that glory in idols: worship him [f]all ye gods.

Zion heard of it, and was glad: and the [g]daughters of Judah rejoiced, because of thy judgments, O Lord.

For thou, Lord, art most High above all the earth: thou art much exalted above all gods.

10 Ye that [h]love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his Saints: he will deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

11 [i]Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.

12 Rejoice ye righteous in the Lord, and give thanks for his holy [j]remembrance.

Exodus 33:18-23

18 Again he said, I beseech thee, show me thy [a]glory.

19 And he answered, I will make all my [b]good go before thee, and I will [c]proclaim the Name of the Lord before thee: (A)for I will show [d]mercy to whom I will show mercy, and will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

20 Furthermore he said, Thou canst not see my face, for there shall no man see me, and [e]live.

21 Also the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by [f]me, and thou shalt stand upon the rock:

22 And while my glory passeth by, I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with mine hand while I pass by.

23 After I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my [g]back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

John 1:14-18

14 (A)[a]And that Word was made [b]flesh, and [c]dwelt among us, (and we (B)saw the [d]glory thereof, [e]as the glory of the only begotten Son of the Father) [f]full of grace and truth.

15 [g]John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that cometh [h]after me, was [i]before me: for he was better than I.

16 (C)[j]And of his fullness have all we received, and [k]grace for grace.

17 For the Law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18 (D)[l]No man hath seen God at any time: that only begotten Son, which is in the [m]bosom of the Father, he hath [n]declared him.
