Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
9 where a vision appeared to Paul in the night: A Macedonian man stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come into Macedonia, and help us!”
10 And after he had seen the vision, we immediately prepared to go into Macedonia, being assured that the Lord had called us to preach the Gospel to them.
11 Then went we forth from Troas. And with a straight course, we came to Samothrace, and the next day to Neapolis;
12 and from there to Philippi (which is the chief city in the parts of Macedonia, and whose inhabitants came from Rome to dwell there). And we stayed in that city some days.
13 And on the Sabbath day, we went out of the city, to a riverside where they customarily prayed. And we sat down and spoke to the women who had come together.
14 And a certain woman named Lydia (a seller of purple, of the city of the Thyatirians), who worshipped God, heard us. The Lord opened her heart, so that she paid attention to the things which Paul spoke.
15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she implored us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” And she insisted.
67 God be merciful to us and bless us. Cause His face to shine among us (Selah),
2 so that they may know Your way upon Earth and Your saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise You, O God. Let all the people praise You.
4 Let the people be glad and rejoice; for You shall judge the people righteously and govern the nations upon the Earth. Selah.
5 Let the people praise You, O God. Let all the people praise You.
6 Then shall the Earth bring forth her increase; and God, even our God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us, and all the ends of the Earth shall fear Him. To him who excels: A psalm or song of David
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain. And he showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God,
22 And I saw no Temple therein. For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.
23 And their city has no need of the Sun, nor of the Moon, to shine in it. For the Glory of God lit it. And the Lamb is the Light of it.
24 And the people who are saved shall walk in the light of it. And the kings of the Earth shall bring their glory and honor to it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut by day. For there shall be no night there.
26 And the glory and honor of the Gentiles shall be brought into it.
27 And there shall enter into it no unclean thing, nor whatever works abomination or lies; but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
22 And he showed me a pure river of water of life - clear as crystal - proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it - and on either side of the river - was the Tree of Life, which bore twelve kinds of fruits and gave fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree served to heal the nations.
3 And there shall no longer be any curse. But the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
4 And they shall see His face. And His Name shall be on their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there. And they need no lamp, nor light of the Sun. For the Lord God gives them Light. And they shall reign forevermore.
23 Jesus answered, and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him. And We will come to him and will dwell with him.
24 “Whoever does not love Me, does not keep My Words. And the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s, Who sent Me.
25 “These things I have spoken to you, being present with you.
26 “But the Comforter (Who is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name) He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance which I have told you.
27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor fear.
28 “You have heard how I said to you, ‘I go away, and will come to you’. If you loved Me, you would truly rejoice, because I said, ‘I go to the Father’, for the Father is greater than Me.
29 “And now have I spoken to you before it comes, so that when it has happened you might believe.
5 After that, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went to Jerusalem.
2 And there is at Jerusalem, by the sheep gate, a pool called in Hebrew, ‘Bethesda’, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of sick folk; of blind, lame, and withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and stirred the water. Whoever then first stepped in, after the stirring of the water, was made whole of whatever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there who had been diseased 38 years.
6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had now been diseased a long time, He said to him, “Will you be made whole?”
7 The sick one answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred. But while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
8 Jesus said to him, “Rise. Take up your bed and walk.”
9 And immediately the man was made whole. And he took up his bed and walked. And the same day was the Sabbath.
