For the choir director. A Davidic psalm.

May Yahweh answer you in a day of trouble;(A)

and sustain you from Zion.(C)
May He remember all your offerings
and accept your burnt offering.(D)Selah

May He give you what your heart desires(E)
and fulfill your whole purpose.(F)
Let us shout for joy at your victory(G)
and lift the banner in the name of our God.(H)
May Yahweh fulfill all your requests.(I)

Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His anointed;(J)
He will answer him from His holy heaven
with mighty victories from[a] His right hand.(K)

but we rise and stand firm.(M)
Lord, give victory to the king!(N)
May He[b] answer us on the day that we call.

Exodus 40:1-15

Setting up the Tabernacle

40 The Lord spoke to Moses: “You are to set up the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, on the first day of the first month.[a](A) Put the ark(B) of the testimony there and screen off the ark with the veil. Then bring in the table and lay out its arrangement; also bring in the lampstand and set up its lamps. Place the gold altar for incense in front of the ark of the testimony. Put up the screen for the entrance to the tabernacle. Position the altar of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting. Place the basin(C) between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. Assemble the surrounding courtyard and hang the screen for the gate of the courtyard.

“Take the anointing oil and anoint(D) the tabernacle and everything in it; consecrate it along with all its furnishings so that it will be holy. 10 Anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; consecrate the altar so that it will be especially holy. 11 Anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate it.

12 “Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting and wash them with water.(E) 13 Clothe Aaron with the holy garments,(F) anoint him, and consecrate him, so that he can serve Me as a priest. 14 Have his sons come forward and clothe them in tunics. 15 Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so that they may also serve Me as priests. Their anointing will serve to inaugurate a permanent priesthood for them throughout their generations.”(G)

Hebrews 10:19-25

Exhortations to Godliness

19 Therefore, brothers, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus,(A) 20 by a new and living way He has opened for us through the curtain (that is, His flesh(B)), 21 and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,(C) 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.(D) 23 Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.(E) 24 And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, 25 not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other,(F) and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
