91 Whoever dwells in the secret of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

² I will say to the LORD, “O my Hope, and my Fortress! My God!” In Him will I trust.

⁹ For you have said, “The LORD is my hope.” You have set the Most High for your refuge.

¹⁰ No evil shall come to you. Nor shall any plague come near your house.

¹¹ For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.

¹² They shall hold you in their hands, so that you do not strike your foot against a stone.

¹³ You shall walk upon the lion and asp. The young lion and the dragon you shall tread underfoot.

¹⁴ “Because he has loved Me, therefore will I deliver him. I will exalt him because he has known My Name.

¹⁵ “He shall call upon Me, and I will hear him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and glorify him.

¹⁶ “I will satisfy him with long life and show him my salvation.” A Psalm, or song, for the Sabbath day

6 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For by a strong hand, he shall let them go, and even be constrained to drive them out of his land.”

² Moreover, God spoke to Moses, and said to him, “I am the LORD.

³ “And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob by the Name of Almighty God. But by My Name, ‘Jehovah’, I was not known to them.

⁴ “Furthermore, as I made My covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan (the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers),

⁵ “so I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage. And I have remembered My covenant.

⁶ “Therefore, say to the children of Israel, ‘I am the LORD; and I will bring you out from the burdens of the Egyptians, and will deliver you out of their bondage, and will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and in great judgments.’

⁷ “Also, I will take you for My people, and will be your God. Then you shall know that I, the LORD your God, brings you out from the burdens of the Egyptians.

⁸ “And I will bring you into the land which I swore that I would give to Abraham, and to Isaac, and to Jacob. And I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD.”

⁹ So, Moses told this to the children of Israel. But they did not listen to Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage.

¹⁰ Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

¹¹ “Go tell Pharaoh, King of Egypt, to let the children of Israel go out of his land.”

¹² But Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips. The children of Israel do not listen to me. How then shall Pharaoh hear me?”

¹³ Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and charged them to go to the children of Israel and to Pharaoh, King of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

³⁵ “This Moses whom they forsook, saying, ‘Who made you a prince and a judge?’ The same man God sent as a prince and a deliverer, by the hand of the Angel which appeared to him in the bush.

³⁶ “He brought them out, doing wonders and miracles in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness, forty years.

³⁷ “This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel, ‘The Lord your God shall raise up to you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear.

³⁸ “This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness, with the Angel which spoke to him on mount Sinai, and with our fathers who received the living oracles to give to us;

³⁹ “whom our fathers would not obey, but refused, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

⁴⁰ ‘saying to Aaron, ‘Make us gods that may go before us. For we do not know what has become of this Moses who brought us out of the land of Egypt.’

⁴¹ “And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

⁴² “Then God turned Himself away, and gave them up to serve the host of heaven, as it is written in the Book of the Prophets, ‘O House of Israel, have you offered to Me slain beasts and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness?
