Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
99 The LORD reigns! Let the people tremble. He sits between the Cherubims. Let the Earth be moved!
2 The LORD is great in Zion; and He is high above all the people.
3 They shall praise Your great and fearful Name (It is Holy).
4 Also, the King’s power loves judgment. You establish equity. You have executed judgment and justice in Jacob.
5 Exalt the LORD our God and bow down before His footstool. He is Holy.
6 Moses and Aaron were among His Priests, and Samuel among such as call upon His Name. These called upon the LORD and He heard them.
7 He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar. They kept His testimonies, the Law which He gave them.
8 You heard them, O LORD our God. You were a favorable God to them, though You took vengeance for their evil deeds.
9 Exalt the LORD our God and bow down before His Holy Mountain; for the LORD our God is Holy. A Psalm of praise
15 “So I returned and came down from the mount. And the mount burnt with fire, and the two Tablets of the Covenant were in my two hands.
16 “Then I looked. And behold, you had sinned against the LORD your God. You had made yourself a molten calf, had turned quickly out of the way which the LORD had Commanded you.
17 “Therefore, I took the two Tablets and cast them out of my two hands and broke them, before your eyes.
18 “And I fell down before the LORD for forty days and forty nights, as before. I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sins which you had committed, doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to wrath.
19 “For I was afraid of the wrath and indignation with which the LORD was moved against you, to destroy you. Yet, the LORD also heard me at that time.
20 “Likewise the LORD was very angry with Aaron, to destroy him. But at that time, I also prayed for Aaron.
21 “And I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burnt him with fire and stamped him and ground him small, even to very dust. And I cast its dust into the river that descended out of the mount.
22 “Also in Taberah, and in Massah, and in Kibroth Hattaavah, you provoked the LORD to anger.
23 “Likewise, when the LORD sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, ‘Go up and possess the land which I have given you’, you rebelled against the Commandment of the LORD your God, and did not believe Him. Nor did you listen to His Voice.
24 “You have been rebellious to the LORD since the day that I knew you.
21 That same hour, Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, “I confess to You, Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because it so pleased You.
22 “All things are given to Me by My Father. And no one knows Who the Son is, except the Father; nor Who the Father is, except the Son and him to whom the Son wishes to reveal Him.”
23 And He turned to His disciples, and said secretly, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
24 “For I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which you see and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear, and have not heard them.”
