Version
Psalm 138

138 I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will praise You.

I will worship toward Your Holy Temple, and praise Your Name, because of Your lovingkindness and for Your Truth; for You have magnified Your Name by Your Word above all things.

When I called, then You heard me and increased strength in my soul.

All the kings of the Earth shall praise You, O LORD; for they have heard the words of Your mouth.

And they shall sing of the ways of the LORD, because the Glory of the LORD is great.

For the LORD is high, yet He beholds the lowly; but He knows the proud afar off.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me. You will stretch forth Your hand upon the wrath of my enemies; and Your right hand shall save me.

The LORD will perform toward me. O LORD, Your mercy endures forever! Do not forsake the works of Your hands. To him who excels: A Psalm of David

Judges 3:7-11

So, the children of Israel did wickedly in the sight of the LORD, and forgot the LORD their God, and served Baal and Asherah.

Therefore, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against Israel. And He sold them into the hand of Cushan-Rishathaim, king of Aram-Naharaim. And the children of Israel served Cushan-Rishathaim for eight years.

And when the children of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD stirred up a savior for the children of Israel — Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother — and he saved them.

10 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war. And the LORD delivered Cushan-Rishathaim, king of Aram, into his hand. And his hand prevailed against Cushan-Rishathaim.

11 So the land had rest for forty years. And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, died.

Luke 4:42-44

42 And when it was day, He departed and went forth into a desert place. And the people sought Him, and came to Him, and kept Him from leaving.

43 But He said to them, “Surely I must also preach the Kingdom of God to other cities. For that is why I was sent.”

44 And He preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
