Names of God Bible (NOG)
Version
Psalm 145

Psalm 145[a]

A song of praise by David.

I will highly praise you, my Elohim, the Melek.
I will bless your name forever and ever.
I will bless you every day.
I will praise your name forever and ever.

Yahweh is great, and he should be highly praised.
    His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation will praise your deeds to the next.
Each generation will talk about your mighty acts.
I will think about the glorious honor of your majesty
and the miraculous things you have done.
People will talk about the power of your terrifying deeds,
and I will tell about your greatness.
They will announce what they remember of your great goodness,
and they will joyfully sing about your righteousness.
Yahweh is merciful, compassionate, patient,
    and always ready to forgive.
Yahweh is good to everyone
and has compassion for everything that he has made.
10 Everything that you have made will give thanks to you, O Yahweh,
and your faithful ones will praise you.
11 Everyone will talk about the glory of your kingdom
and will tell the descendants of Adam about your might
12 in order to make known your mighty deeds
and the glorious honor of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
Your empire endures throughout every generation.

14 Yahweh supports everyone who falls.
He straightens the backs of those who are bent over.
15 The eyes of all creatures look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 You open your hand,
and you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 Yahweh is fair in all his ways
and faithful in everything he does.
18 Yahweh is near to everyone who prays to him,
to every faithful person who prays to him.
19 He fills the needs of those who fear him.
He hears their cries for help and saves them.
20 Yahweh protects everyone who loves him,
but he will destroy all wicked people.

21 My mouth will speak the praise of Yahweh,
and all living creatures will praise his holy name
        forever and ever.

Song of Solomon 4:1-8

Solomon Is Charmed by the Young Woman

[Groom]

Look at you! You are beautiful, my true love.
Look at you! You are so beautiful.
Your eyes behind your veil are like doves.
Your hair is like a flock of goats moving down Mount Gilead.
Your teeth are like a flock of sheep about to be sheared,
sheep that come up from the washing.
All of them bear twins, and not one has lost its young.
Your lips are like scarlet thread.
    Your mouth is lovely.
Your temples behind your veil are like slices of pomegranate.
Your neck is like David’s beautifully-designed[a] tower.
A thousand round shields belonging to soldiers
        are hung on it.
Your breasts are like two fawns,
like twin gazelles grazing among the lilies.
When the day brings a cool breeze and the shadows flee,
I will go to the mountain of myrrh and the hill of incense.
You are beautiful in every way, my true love.
There is no blemish on you.
You will come with me from Lebanon,
            from Lebanon as my bride.
        You will travel with me
from the peak of Mount Amana,
from the mountain peaks in Senir and Hermon,
            from the lairs of lions,
            from the mountains of leopards.

1 Corinthians 1:3-17

Good will[a] and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua Christ are yours!

I always thank God for you because Christ Yeshua has shown you God’s good will. Through Christ Yeshua you have become rich in every way—in speech and knowledge of every kind. Our message about Christ has been verified among you. Therefore, you don’t lack any gift as you wait eagerly for our Lord Yeshua Christ to be revealed. He will continue to give you strength until the end so that no one can accuse you of anything on the day of our Lord Yeshua Christ. God faithfully keeps his promises. He called you to be partners with his Son Yeshua Christ our Lord.

God’s Wisdom Is Better Than the World’s Wisdom

10 Brothers and sisters, I encourage all of you in the name of our Lord Yeshua Christ to agree with each other and not to split into opposing groups. I want you to be united in your understanding and opinions. 11 Brothers and sisters, some people from Chloe’s family have made it clear to me that you are quarreling among yourselves. 12 This is what I mean: Each of you is saying, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,”[b] or “I follow Christ.” 13 Has Christ been divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in Paul’s name? 14 I thank God that[c] I didn’t baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius 15 so that no one can say you were baptized in my name. 16 I also baptized Stephanas and his family. Beyond that, I’m not sure whether I baptized anyone else. 17 Christ didn’t send me to baptize. Instead, he sent me to spread the Good News. I didn’t use intellectual arguments. That would have made the cross of Christ lose its meaning.
