Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
Zion’s Glory and New Name
62 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet,
Until her (A)righteousness goes forth like brightness,
And her (B)salvation like a torch that is burning.
2 The (C)nations will see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory;
And you will be called by a new (D)name
Which the mouth of the Lord will designate.
3 You will also be a (E)crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
And a royal [a]diadem in the hand of your God.
4 It will no longer be said to you, “[b](F)Forsaken,”
Nor to your land will it any longer be said, “[c]Desolate”;
But you will be called, “[d]My delight is in her,”
And your land, “[e](G)Married”;
For the (H)Lord delights in you,
And to Him your land will be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So your sons will marry you;
And as the [f]bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
So your (I)God will rejoice over you.
5 Your (A)lovingkindness, O Lord, [a]extends to the heavens,
Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
6 Your (B)righteousness is like the [b]mountains of God;
Your (C)judgments are like a great deep.
O Lord, You (D)preserve man and beast.
7 How (E)precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
And the children of men (F)take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
8 They (G)drink their fill of the [c]abundance of Your house;
And You give them to drink of the (H)river of Your delights.
9 For with You is the (I)fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.
The Use of Spiritual Gifts
12 Now concerning (A)spiritual gifts, brethren, (B)I do not want you to be unaware. 2 (C)You know that when you were pagans, you were (D)led astray to the (E)mute idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking [a](F)by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is [b](G)accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is (H)Lord,” except [c](I)by the Holy Spirit.
4 Now there are (J)varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6 There are varieties of effects, but the same (K)God who works all things in all persons. 7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit (L)for the common good. 8 For to one is given the word of (M)wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of (N)knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another (O)faith [d]by the same Spirit, and to another (P)gifts of [e]healing [f]by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the [g]effecting of [h](Q)miracles, and to another (R)prophecy, and to another the [i](S)distinguishing of spirits, to another various (T)kinds of tongues, and to another the (U)interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, (V)distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
Miracle at Cana
2 On (A)the third day there was a wedding in (B)Cana of Galilee, and the (C)mother of Jesus was there; 2 and both Jesus and His (D)disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus *said to Him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus *said to her, “(E)Woman, [a](F)what does that have to do with us? (G)My hour has not yet come.” 5 His (H)mother *said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6 Now there were six stone waterpots set there (I)for the Jewish custom of purification, containing [b]twenty or thirty gallons each. 7 Jesus *said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He *said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the [c]headwaiter.” So they took it to him. 9 When the headwaiter tasted the water (J)which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter *called the bridegroom, 10 and *said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first, and when the people (K)have [d]drunk freely, then he serves the poorer wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.” 11 This beginning of His [e](L)signs Jesus did in Cana of (M)Galilee, and manifested His (N)glory, and His disciples believed in Him.
