Psalm 93

The Eternal Reign of the Lord

93 The (A)Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty;
The Lord is clothed,
(B)He has girded Himself with strength.
Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be [a]moved.
(C)Your throne is established from of old;
You are from everlasting.

The floods have [b]lifted up, O Lord,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their waves.
(D)The Lord on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea.

Your testimonies are very sure;
Holiness adorns Your house,
O Lord, [c]forever.

Ezekiel 28:20-26

Proclamation Against Sidon

20 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 21 “Son of man, (A)set your face (B)toward Sidon, and prophesy against her, 22 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God:

(C)“Behold, I am against you, O Sidon;
I will be glorified in your midst;
And (D)they shall know that I am the Lord,
When I execute judgments in her and am (E)hallowed in her.
23 (F)For I will send pestilence upon her,
And blood in her streets;
The wounded shall be judged in her midst
By the sword against her on every side;
Then they shall know that I am the Lord.

24 “And there shall no longer be a pricking brier or (G)a painful thorn for the house of Israel from among all who are around them, who (H)despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord God.”

Israel’s Future Blessing

25 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “When I have (I)gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am (J)hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob. 26 And they will (K)dwell [a]safely there, (L)build houses, and (M)plant vineyards; yes, they will dwell securely, when I execute judgments on all those around them who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God.” ’ ”

1 Corinthians 15:20-28

The Last Enemy Destroyed

20 But now (A)Christ is risen from the dead, and has become (B)the firstfruits of those who have [a]fallen asleep. 21 For (C)since by man came death, (D)by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall (E)be made alive. 23 But (F)each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers (G)the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign (H)till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 (I)The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For (J)“He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 (K)Now when all things are made subject to Him, then (L)the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
