Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
The Majesty of the Lord.
93 (A)The Lord [a]reigns, He is (B)clothed with majesty;
The Lord has (C)clothed and girded Himself with strength;
Indeed, the (D)world is firmly established, it will not be moved.
2 Your (E)throne is established from of old;
You (F)are from everlasting.
3 The (G)floods have lifted up, O Lord,
The floods have lifted up their voice,
The floods lift up their pounding waves.
4 More than the sounds of many waters,
Than the mighty breakers of the sea,
The Lord (H)on high is mighty.
5 Your (I)testimonies are fully confirmed;
(J)Holiness befits Your house,
O Lord, [b]forevermore.
Judgment of Sidon
20 And the word of the Lord came to me saying, 21 “Son of man, (A)set your face toward (B)Sidon, prophesy against her 22 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God,
“Behold, I am against you, O Sidon,
And I will [a]be glorified in your midst.
Then they will know that I am the Lord when I (C)execute judgments in her,
And I will manifest My holiness in her.
23 “For (D)I will send pestilence to her
And blood to her streets,
And the (E)wounded will [b]fall in her midst
By the sword upon her on every side;
Then they will know that I am the Lord.
24 And there will be no more for the house of Israel a (F)prickling brier or a painful thorn from any round about them who scorned them; then they will know that I am the Lord God.”
Israel Regathered
25 ‘Thus says the Lord God, “When I (G)gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and will manifest My holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they will (H)live in their [c]land which I gave to My servant Jacob. 26 They will (I)live in it securely; and they will (J)build houses, plant vineyards and live securely when I (K)execute judgments upon all who scorn them round about them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.”’”
The Order of Resurrection
20 But now Christ (A)has been raised from the dead, the (B)first fruits of those who (C)are asleep. 21 For since (D)by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For (E)as in Adam all die, so also in [a]Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ (F)the first fruits, after that (G)those who are Christ’s at (H)His coming, 24 then comes the end, when He hands over (I)the kingdom to the (J)God and Father, when He has abolished (K)all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign (L)until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be (M)abolished is death. 27 For (N)He has put all things in subjection under His feet. But when He says, “(O)All things are put in subjection,” it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. 28 When (P)all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that (Q)God may be all in all.
