New King James Version (NKJV)
Version
Psalm 34:15-22

15 (A)The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.
16 (B)The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
(C)To [a]cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and (D)the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 (E)The Lord is near (F)to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as [b]have a contrite spirit.

19 (G)Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
(H)But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20 He guards all his bones;
(I)Not one of them is broken.
21 (J)Evil shall slay the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous shall be [c]condemned.
22 The Lord (K)redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

Joshua 22:1-9

Eastern Tribes Return to Their Lands

22 Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, and said to them: “You have kept (A)all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, (B)and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you. You have not [a]left your brethren these many days, up to this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the Lord your God. And now the Lord your God has given (C)rest to your brethren, as He promised them; now therefore, return and go to your tents and to the land of your possession, (D)which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on the other side of the Jordan. But (E)take[b] careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, (F)to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” So Joshua (G)blessed them and sent them away, and they went to their tents.

Now to half the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given a possession in Bashan, (H)but to the other half of it Joshua gave a possession among their brethren on this side of the Jordan, westward. And indeed, when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he blessed them, and spoke to them, saying, “Return with much riches to your tents, with very much livestock, with silver, with gold, with bronze, with iron, and with very much clothing. (I)Divide the [c]spoil of your enemies with your brethren.”

So the children of Reuben, the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel at Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to (J)the country of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they had obtained according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

The Day of the Lord

But concerning (A)the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that (B)the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then (C)sudden destruction comes upon them, (D)as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (E)But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all (F)sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. (G)Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but (H)let us watch and be [a]sober. For (I)those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk (J)are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, (K)putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For (L)God did not appoint us to wrath, (M)but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 (N)who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

11 Therefore [b]comfort each other and [c]edify one another, just as you also are doing.
