Psalm 119:81-88

כ KAPH

81 (A)My soul faints for Your salvation,
But I hope in Your word.
82 My eyes fail from searching Your word,
Saying, “When will You comfort me?”
83 For (B)I have become like a wineskin in smoke,
Yet I do not forget Your statutes.
84 (C)How many are the days of Your servant?
(D)When will You execute judgment on those who persecute me?
85 (E)The proud have dug pits for me,
Which is not according to Your law.
86 All Your commandments are faithful;
They persecute me (F)wrongfully;
Help me!
87 They almost made an end of me on earth,
But I did not forsake Your precepts.
88 Revive me according to Your lovingkindness,
So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.

Jeremiah 16:14-21

God Will Restore Israel(A)

14 “Therefore behold, the (B)days are coming,” says the Lord, “that it shall no more be said, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ 15 but, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the (C)north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For (D)I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.

16 “Behold, I will send for many (E)fishermen,” says the Lord, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. 17 For My (F)eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes. 18 And first I will repay (G)double for their iniquity and their sin, because (H)they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols.”

19 O Lord, (I)my strength and my fortress,
(J)My refuge in the day of affliction,
The Gentiles shall come to You
From the ends of the earth and say,
“Surely our fathers have inherited lies,
Worthlessness and (K)unprofitable things.
20 Will a man make gods for himself,
(L)Which are not gods?

21 “Therefore behold, I will this once cause them to know,
I will cause them to know
My hand and My might;
And they shall know that (M)My name is the Lord.

John 7:1-9

Jesus’ Brothers Disbelieve

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, (A)because the [a]Jews sought to kill Him. (B)Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. (C)His brothers therefore said to Him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing. For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.” For (D)even His (E)brothers did not believe in Him.

Then Jesus said to them, (F)“My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready. (G)The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me (H)because I testify of it that its works are evil. You go up to this feast. I am not [b]yet going up to this feast, (I)for My time has not yet fully come.” When He had said these things to them, He remained in Galilee.
