Psalm 92:1-4

Praise for the Lords Goodness.

A Psalm, a Song for the Sabbath day.

92 It is (A)good to give thanks to the Lord
And to (B)sing praises to Your name, Most High;
To (C)declare Your goodness in the morning
And Your (D)faithfulness by [a]night,
[b]With the (E)ten-stringed lute and [c]with the (F)harp,
[d]With resounding music on the (G)lyre.
For You, Lord, have made me joyful by [e]what You (H)have done,
I will (I)sing for joy over the (J)works of Your hands.

Psalm 92:12-15

12 The (A)righteous person will [a]flourish like the palm tree,
He will grow like a (B)cedar in Lebanon.
13 (C)Planted in the house of the Lord,
They will flourish (D)in the courtyards of our God.
14 They will still [b](E)yield fruit in advanced age;
They will be [c]full of sap and very green,
15 To [d]declare that (F)the Lord is just;
He is my (G)rock, and there is (H)no malice in Him.

Genesis 3:14-24

14 Then the Lord God said to the serpent,

(A)Because you have done this,
Cursed are you more than all the livestock,
And more than any animal of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And (B)dust you shall eat
All the days of your life;
15 And I will [a](C)make enemies
Of you and the woman,
And of your [b]offspring and her [c]Descendant;
(D)He shall [d]bruise you on the head,
And you shall bruise Him on the heel.”

16 To the woman He said,

“I will greatly multiply
Your pain [e]in childbirth,
In pain you shall (E)deliver children;
Yet your desire will be for your husband,
And (F)he shall rule over you.”

17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’;

(G)Cursed is the ground because of you;
(H)With [f]hard labor you shall eat from it
All the days of your life.
18 Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you;
Yet you shall eat the [g]plants of the field;
19 By the sweat of your face
You shall eat bread,
Until you (I)return to the ground,
Because (J)from it you were taken;
For you are dust,
And to dust you shall return.”

20 Now the man named his wife [h](K)Eve, because she was the mother of all the living. 21 And the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.

22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of (L)Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out with his hand, and take fruit also from (M)the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. 24 So (N)He drove the man out; and at the (O)east of the Garden of Eden He stationed the (P)cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to (Q)the tree of life.

Hebrews 2:5-9

Earth Subject to Man

For He did not subject to angels [a](A)the world to come, about which we are speaking. But someone has testified (B)somewhere, saying,

(C)What is man, that You think of him?
Or a son of man, that You are concerned about him?
(D)You have made him [b]for a little while lower than angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor[c];
(E)You have put everything in subjection under his feet.”

For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now (F)we do not yet see all things subjected to him.

Jesus Briefly Humbled

But we do see Him who was (G)made [d]for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, (H)because of His suffering death (I)crowned with glory and honor, so that (J)by the grace of God He might (K)taste death (L)for everyone.
