Psalm 47

God, the King of the Earth.

For the music director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

47 (A)Clap your hands, all you peoples;
(B)Shout to God with a voice of joy.
For the Lord Most High is to be (C)feared,
A (D)great King over all the earth.
He (E)subdues peoples under us
And nations under our feet.
He chooses our (F)inheritance for us,
The (G)pride of Jacob whom He loves. Selah

God has (H)ascended [a]with a shout,
The Lord, [b]with the (I)sound of a trumpet.
(J)Sing praises to God, sing praises;
Sing praises to (K)our King, sing praises.
For God is the (L)King of all the earth;
Sing praises (M)with a psalm of wisdom.
God (N)reigns over the nations,
God [c]sits on (O)His holy throne.
The [d](P)princes of the people have assembled as the (Q)people of the God of Abraham,
For the (R)shields of the earth belong to God;
He is (S)highly exalted.

Deuteronomy 34:1-7

The Death of Moses

34 (A)Now Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And the Lord (B)showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan, and all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah as far as the [a](C)western sea, and the [b]Negev and the territory in the Valley of Jericho, (D)the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land which (E)I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your [c]descendants’; I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not go over there.” So Moses (F)the servant of the Lord (G)died there in the land of Moab, in accordance with the [d]word of the Lord. And He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, (H)opposite Beth-peor; but (I)no one knows his burial place to this day. Although Moses was (J)120 years old when he died, (K)his eyesight was not dim, nor had his vigor left him.

John 16:4-11

But these things I have spoken to you, (A)so that when their hour comes, you [a]may remember that I told you of them. However, I did not say these things to you (B)at the beginning, because I was with you.

The Holy Spirit Promised

“But now (C)I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘(D)Where are You going?’ But because I have said these things to you, (E)grief has filled your heart. But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the [b](F)Helper will not come to you; but if I go, (G)I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment: regarding sin, (H)because they do not believe in Me; 10 and regarding (I)righteousness, because (J)I am going to the Father and you no longer are going to see Me; 11 (K)and regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.
