Psalm 110:1-4

A psalm of David.

110 The Lord says to my lord,
    “Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
    under your control.”

The Lord will make your royal authority spread out from Zion to other lands.
He says, “Rule over your enemies who are all around you.”
Your troops will be willing to fight for you
    on the day of battle.
Your young men will be wrapped in holy majesty.
They will come to you like the fresh dew that falls early in the morning.

The Lord has made a promise.
He will not change his mind.
He has said, “You are a priest forever,
    just like Melchizedek.”

Job 19:23-27

23 “I wish my words were written down!
I wish they were written in a book!
24 I wish they were cut into lead with an iron tool!
I wish they were carved in rock forever!
25 I know that my redeemer lives.
In the end he will stand on the earth.
26 Though my skin will be destroyed,
in my body I’ll see God.
27 I myself will see him with my own eyes.
I’ll see him, and he won’t be a stranger to me.
How my heart longs for that day!

1 Timothy 3:14-16

Paul’s Reasons for Giving Instructions to Timothy

14 I hope I can come to you soon. But now I am writing these instructions to you. 15 Then if I have to put off my visit, you will know how people should act in God’s family. The family of God is the church of the living God. It is the pillar and foundation of the truth. 16 There is no doubt that true godliness comes from this great mystery.

Jesus came as a human being.
The Holy Spirit proved that he was the Son of God.
He was seen by angels.
He was preached among the nations.
People in the world believed in him.
He was taken up to heaven in glory.
