Psalm 145:1-8

David’s Psalm of praise.

Aleph

¶ I will extol thee, my God, my king, and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

Beth

Each day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Gimel

Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.

Daleth

One generation shall praise thy works to another and shall declare thy mighty acts.

He

I will speak of the beauty of the glory of thy majesty and of thy wondrous works.

Vau

And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts, and I will declare thy greatness.

Zain

They shall proclaim the memory of thy great goodness and shall sing of thy righteousness.

Cheth

The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and of great mercy.

Nahum 1:1

¶ The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

Nahum 1:14-2:2

14 And the LORD shall give a commandment concerning thee that no one else of thy name ever be sown; out of the house of thy god I will cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make it thy grave because thou wert vile.

15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that brings good tidings, of him that publishes peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows; for Belial shall no longer pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

¶ The destroyer is risen up against thee: keep the fortress, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.

For the LORD shall restore the glory of Jacob as the glory of Israel; for the emptiers have emptied them out and marred their vine branches.

2 Corinthians 13:1-4

13 ¶ This third time I am coming unto you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

I told you before and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now, I write to those who until now have sinned and to all others that, if I come again, I will not spare,

Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who unto you is not weak, but is mighty in you.

For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. By which we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God in you.
