Version
Psalm 92

A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

To show forth thy mercy in the morning and thy faithfulness every night

upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the psaltery, upon the harp with a pleasant sound.

For thou, O LORD, hast made me glad with thy work; I will delight in the works of thy hands.

O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

A carnal man does not know, neither does a fool understand this:

¶ The wicked spring forth as the grass, and all the workers of iniquity blossom, so that they shall be destroyed for ever:

But thou, O LORD, art most high for evermore.

For, behold, thine enemies, O LORD, for behold, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn; I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

11 And my eye saw my desire on my enemies, and my ears heard my desire of those that rose up against me, of the wicked.

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be vigorous and flourishing

15 to show that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Proverbs 11:23-30

23 ¶ The desire of the righteous is only good, but the hope of the wicked is wrath.

24 ¶ There are those who scatter, and more is added unto them; and there are those who withhold more than is just, but come to poverty.

25 ¶ The soul who is a blessing unto others shall be made fat, and he that fills shall be filled also himself.

26 ¶ He that withholds the grain, the people shall curse him, but blessing shall be upon the head of him that sells it.

27 ¶ He that seeks good early shall find favour, but unto him that seeks evil, it shall come upon him.

28 ¶ He that trusts in his riches shall fall, but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

29 ¶ He that troubles his own house shall inherit the wind, and the fool shall be slave to the wise of heart.

30 ¶ The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that wins souls is wise.

Matthew 13:10-17

10 Then the disciples came and said unto him, Why dost thou speak unto them in parables?

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not given.

12 For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have in abundance; but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that which he has.

13 Therefore, I speak to them in parables because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see and shall not perceive;

15 for this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.

17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see and have not seen them and to hear those things which ye hear and have not heard them.
