Psalm 109:21-31

21 But thou, O Lord my God, deal with me according unto thy [a]Name: deliver me, (for thy mercy is good)

22 Because I am poor and needy, and mine heart is wounded within me.

23 I depart like the shadow that declineth, and am shaken off as the [b]grasshopper.

24 My knees are weak through fasting, and my flesh [c]hath lost all fatness.

25 I became also a rebuke unto them: they that looked upon me, shaked their heads.

26 Help me, O Lord my God: [d]save me according to thy mercy.

27 And they shall know that this is thine hand, and that thou, Lord, hast done it.

28 Though [e]they curse, yet thou wilt bless: they shall arise and be confounded, but thy servant shall rejoice.

29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their confusion as with a cloak.

30 I will give thanks unto the Lord greatly with my [f]mouth, and praise him among the multitude.

31 For he will stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from them that would [g]condemn his soul.

Ezekiel 20:33-44

33 As I live, saith the Lord God, I will surely rule you with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and in my wrath poured out,

34 And will bring you from the people, and will gather you out of the countries, wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and in my wrath poured out,

35 And I will bring you into the [a]wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God.

37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and will bring you into the bond of the covenant.

38 And I will [b]choose out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them out of the land where they dwell, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God, [c]Go you, and serve everyone his idol, seeing that ye will not obey me, and pollute mine holy Name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

40 For in mine holy mountain, even in the high mountain of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, and all in the land serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

41 I will accept your sweet savor, when I bring you from the people, and gather you out of the countries, wherein ye have been scattered, that I may be sanctified in you before the heathen.

42 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the land for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

43 And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your works, wherein ye have been defiled, and ye [d]shall judge yourselves worthy to be cut off, for all your evils, that ye have committed.

44 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have respect unto you for my Name’s sake, and not after your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt works, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

Luke 6:6-11

(A)[a]It came to pass also on another Sabbath, that he entered into the Synagogue, and taught, and there was a man, whose right hand was dried up.

And the Scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the Sabbath day, that they might find an accusation against him.

But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Arise, and stand up in the midst. And he arose, and stood up.

Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you a question, Whether is it lawful on the Sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to [b]destroy?

10 And he beheld them all in compass, and said unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he did so, and his hand was restored again, as whole as the other.

11 Then they were filled full of madness, and communed one with another, what they might do to Jesus.
