Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer: thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am: if thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the [a]finger, and wicked speaking:
10 If thou [b]pour out thy soul to the hungry, and refresh the troubled soul: then shall thy light spring out in the [c]darkness, and thy darkness shall be as the noon day.
11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones, and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they shall be of thee, that shall build the old [d]waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations for many generations, and thou shalt be called the repairer of the breach, and the restorer of the paths to dwell in.
13 If thou [e]turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy will on mine Holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight to consecrate it, as glorious to the Lord, and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor seeking thine own will, nor speaking a vain word,
14 Then shalt thou delight in the Lord, and I will cause thee to mount upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
103 1 He provoketh all to praise the Lord, which hath pardoned his sins, delivered him from destruction and given him sufficient of all good things. 10 Then he addeth the tender mercies of God, which he showeth like a most tender Father toward his children. 14 The frailty of man’s life. 20 An exhortation to man and Angels to praise the Lord.
A Psalm of David.
1 My soul, [a]praise thou the Lord, and all that is within me, praise his holy Name.
2 My soul, praise thou the Lord, and forget not all his benefits.
3 Which [b]forgiveth all thine iniquity, and healeth all thine infirmities.
4 Which redeemeth thy life from the [c]grave; and crowneth thee with mercy and compassions.
5 Which satisfieth thy mouth with good things: and thy [d]youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment to all that are oppressed.
7 He made his ways known unto [e]Moses, and his works unto the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is full of compassion and mercy, slow to anger and of great kindness.
18 [a]For ye are not come unto the (A)mount that might be [b]touched, nor unto burning fire, nor to blackness and darkness, and tempest,
19 Neither unto the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words, which they that heard it, excused themselves, (B)that the word should not be spoken to them any more.
20 (For they were not able to abide that which was commanded, (C)yea, though a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
21 And so terrible was the [c]sight which appeared, that Moses said, I fear and quake.)
22 But ye are come unto the mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the celestial Jerusalem, and to the company of innumerable Angels.
23 And to the assembly and congregation of the first born, which are written in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of just and [d]perfect men,
24 And to Jesus the Mediator of the new Testament, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
25 [e]See that ye despise not him that speaketh: for if they escaped not which refused him, that spake on earth: much more shall we not escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven.
26 [f]Whose voice then shook the earth, and now hath declared, saying, (D)Yet [g]once more will I shake, not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things which are shaken, as of things which are made with hands, that the things which are not shaken, may remain.
28 [h]Wherefore seeing we receive a kingdom, which cannot be shaken, let us have grace whereby we may so serve God, that we may please him with [i]reverence and [j]fear.
29 For (E)even our God is a consuming fire.
10 ¶ [a]And he taught in one of the Synagogues on the Sabbath day.
11 And behold, there was a woman which had a [b]spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could not lift up herself in any wise.
12 When Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said to her, Woman, thou art [c]loosed from thy disease.
13 And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight again, and glorified God.
14 [d]And the [e]ruler of the Synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus healed on the Sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.
15 Then answered him the Lord, and said, Hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the Sabbath day loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to the water?
16 And ought not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?
17 And when he said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: but all the people rejoiced at all the excellent things that were done by him.
