Psalm 32

32 1 David punished with grievous sickness for his sins, counteth them blessed to whom God doth not impute their transgressions. 5 And after that he had confessed his sins, and obtained pardon, 6 he exhorteth the wicked men to live godly, 11 and the good to rejoice.

A Psalm of David to give [a]instruction.

Blessed is he whose wickedness is [b]forgiven, and whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man, unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

When I held my [c]tongue, my bones consumed, or when I [d]roared all the day,

(For thine hand is heavy upon me day and night: and my moisture is turned into the drought of Summer. Selah.)

Then I [e]acknowledged my sin unto thee, neither hid I mine iniquity: for I thought, I will confess against myself my wickedness unto the Lord, and thou forgavest the punishment of my sin. Selah.

Therefore shall everyone that is godly, make his prayer unto thee in a [f]time, when thou mayest be found: surely in the flood of great waters [g]they shall not come near him.

Thou art my secret place: thou preservest me from trouble: thou compassest me about with joyful deliverance. Selah.

I will [h]instruct thee, and teach thee in the way that thou shalt go, and I will guide thee with mine eye.

Be ye not like an horse, or like a mule which understand not: whose [i]mouths thou dost bind with bit and bridle, lest they come near thee.

10 Many sorrows shall come to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him.

11 Be glad ye righteous, and [j]rejoice in the Lord, and be joyful all ye, that are upright in heart.

Jeremiah 25:15-29

15 For thus hath the Lord God of Israel spoken unto me, [a]Take the cup of wine of this mine indignation at mine hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.

16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.

17 Then took I the cup at the Lord’s hand, and made all people to drink, unto whom the Lord had sent me:

18 Even Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them desolate, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse, [b]as appeareth this day:

19 Pharaoh also, King of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people:

20 And all sorts of people, and all the Kings of the land [c]of Uz: and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and [d]Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod:

21 [e]Edom, and Moab, and the Ammonites,

22 And all the Kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the [f]Isles, that are beyond the sea,

23 And [g]Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that dwell in the uttermost corners,

24 And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of Arabia that dwell in the [h]desert,

25 And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of [i]Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,

26 And all the kings of the North, far and near one to another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the earth, and the king of [j]Sheshach shall drink after them.

27 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Drink and be drunken, and spew and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword, which I will send among you.

28 ¶ But if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then tell them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Ye shall certainly drink.

29 For lo, [k]I begin to plague the city, where my Name is called upon, and should you go free? Ye shall not go acquited: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts.

Acts 7:44-53

44 [a]Our fathers had the Tabernacle of [b]witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto (A)Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.

45 (B)Which tabernacle also our fathers [c]received, and brought in with Jesus into the [d]possession of the Gentiles, which God drove out [e]before our fathers, unto the days of David:

46 (C)Who found favor before God, and desired that he might find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.

47 (D)[f]But Solomon built him an house.

48 Howbeit the most High (E)dwelleth not in temples made with hands, as saith the Prophet,

49 (F)Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build for me, saith the Lord? or what place is it that I should rest in?

50 Hath not mine hand made all these things?

51 (G)[g]Ye stiff-necked and of [h]uncircumcised hearts and ears, ye have always resisted the holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you.

52 Which of the Prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them, which showed before of the coming of that Just, of whom ye are now the betrayers and murderers,

53 (H)Which have received the law by the [i]ordinance of Angels, and have not kept it.
