Psalm 66:1-9

How Awesome Are Your Deeds

To the choirmaster. A Song. A Psalm.

66 (A)Shout for joy to God, all the earth;
    sing the glory of his name;
    (B)give to him glorious praise!
Say to God, (C)“How awesome are your deeds!
    So great is your power that your enemies (D)come cringing to you.
(E)All the earth worships you
    and sings praises to you;
    they sing praises to your name.” Selah

(F)Come and see what God has done:
    (G)he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
He (H)turned the sea into dry land;
    they (I)passed through the river on foot.
There did we rejoice in him,
    who rules by his might forever,
whose (J)eyes keep watch on the nations—
    let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah

Bless our God, O peoples;
    let the sound of his praise be heard,
who has kept our soul among the living
    and (K)has not let our feet slip.

Zechariah 14:10-21

10 (A)The whole land shall be turned into a plain from (B)Geba to (C)Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But (D)Jerusalem shall remain aloft (E)on its site from (F)the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, to (G)the Corner Gate, and from (H)the Tower of Hananel to the king's winepresses. 11 And it shall be inhabited, for (I)there shall never again be a decree of utter destruction.[a] (J)Jerusalem shall dwell in security.

12 And this shall be (K)the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.

13 And (L)on that day a great panic from the Lord shall fall on them, so that (M)each will seize the hand of another, and the hand of the one will be raised against the hand of the other. 14 Even (N)Judah will fight at Jerusalem.[b] And (O)the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be collected, gold, silver, and garments in great abundance. 15 And (P)a plague like this plague shall fall on the horses, the mules, the camels, the donkeys, and whatever beasts may be in those camps.

16 Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem (Q)shall go up year after year to worship (R)the King, the Lord of hosts, and (S)to keep (T)the Feast of Booths. 17 And if (U)any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship (V)the King, the Lord of hosts, (W)there will be no rain on them. 18 And if the family of Egypt does not go up and present themselves, then on them there shall be no rain;[c] there shall be (X)the plague with which the Lord afflicts the nations that do not go up (Y)to keep the Feast of Booths. 19 This shall be the punishment to Egypt and the punishment to all the nations that do not go up (Z)to keep the Feast of Booths.

20 And (AA)on that day there shall be inscribed on the bells of the horses, (AB)“Holy to the Lord.” And the pots in the house of the Lord shall be as the bowls before the altar. 21 And every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be (AC)holy to the Lord of hosts, so that all who sacrifice may come and take of them and boil the meat of the sacrifice in them. And (AD)there shall no longer be (AE)a trader[d] in the house of the Lord of hosts (AF)on that day.

Luke 9:1-6

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles

(A)And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, (B)and he sent them out to (C)proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. (D)And he said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, (E)no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.[a] And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town (F)shake off the dust from your feet (G)as a testimony (H)against them.” (I)And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
