Psalm 29

29 1 The Prophet exhorteth the princes and rulers of the world (which for the most part think there is no God.) 3 At the least to fear him for the thunders and tempests, for fear whereof all creatures tremble. 11 And though thereby God threateneth sinners, yet he is always merciful to his, and moveth them thereby to praise his Name.

A Psalm of David.

Give unto the Lord, ye [a]sons of the mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord glory due unto his Name: worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuary.

The [b]voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory maketh it to thunder: the Lord is upon the great waters.

The voice of the Lord is mighty: the voice of the Lord is glorious.

The [c]voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars: yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

He maketh them also to leap like a calf: Lebanon also and [d]Shirion like a young unicorn.

The voice of the Lord divideth the [e]flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord maketh the wilderness to tremble: the Lord maketh the wilderness of [f]Kadesh to tremble.

The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to [g]calve, and [h]discovereth the forests: therefore in his [i]Temple doth every man speak of his glory.

10 The Lord sitteth upon the [j]floods, and the Lord doth remain King forever.

11 The Lord shall give strength unto his people: the Lord shall bless his people with peace.

Exodus 40:16-38

16 So Moses did according to all that the Lord had commanded him; so did he.

17 (A)Thus was the Tabernacle reared up the first day of the first month in [a]the second year.

18 Then Moses reared up the Tabernacle and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars of it, and reared up his pillars.

19 And he spread the covering over the Tabernacle, and put the covering of that covering on high above it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

20 ¶ And he took and put the [b]Testimony in the Ark, and put the bars in the rings of the Ark, and set the Mercy seat on high upon the Ark.

21 He brought also the Ark into the Tabernacle, and hanged up the (B)covering veil, and covered the Ark of the Testimony, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

22 ¶ Furthermore he put the Table in the Tabernacle of the Congregation in the North side of the Tabernacle, without the veil,

23 And set the bread in order before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

24 ¶ Also he put the Candlestick in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, over against the Table toward the South side of the Tabernacle.

25 And he [c]lighted the lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

26 ¶ Moreover, he set the golden Altar in the Tabernacle of the Congregation before the veil,

27 And burnt sweet incense thereon, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

28 ¶ Also he hanged up the veil at the [d]door of the Tabernacle.

29 After, he set the burnt offering Altar without the door of the Tabernacle, called the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and offered the burnt offering and the sacrifice thereon, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

30 ¶ Likewise he set the Laver between the Tabernacle of the Congregation and the Altar, and poured water therein to wash with.

31 So Moses and Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat.

32 When they went into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and when they approached to the Altar, they washed, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

33 Finally, he reared up the court round about the Tabernacle and the Altar, and hanged up the veil at the court gate: so Moses finished the work.

34 (C)Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

35 So Moses could not enter into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

36 Now when the cloud ascended up from the Tabernacle, the children of Israel went forward in all their journeys.

37 But if the cloud ascended not, then they journeyed not till the day that it ascended.

38 For [e]the cloud of the Lord was upon the Tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

Acts 16:35-40

35 [a]And when it was day, the governors sent the sergeants, saying, Let those men go.

36 Then the keeper of the prison told these words unto Paul, saying, The governors have sent to loose you: now therefore get you hence, and go in peace.

37 [b]Then said Paul unto them, After that they have beaten us openly uncondemned, which are Romans, they have cast us into prison, and now would they put us out privily? nay verily: but let them come and bring us out.

38 [c]And the sergeants told these words unto the governors, who feared when they heard that they were Romans.

39 Then came they and prayed them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.

40 [d]And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
