Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
9 Have mercy upon me, O Lord: for I am in trouble: mine [a]eye, my soul and my belly are consumed with grief.
10 For my life is wasted with heaviness, and my years with mourning: my strength faileth for my pain, and my bones are consumed.
11 I was a [b]reproach among all mine enemies, but specially among my neighbors: and a fear to mine acquaintance, [c]who seeing me in the street, fled from me.
12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.
13 For I have heard the railing of [d]great men: fear was on every side, while they conspired together against me, and consulted to take my life.
14 But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, [e]Thou art my God.
15 My [f]times are in thine hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
16 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: and save me through thy mercy.
23 2 The feasts of the Lord. 3 The Sabbath. 5 The Passover. 6 The feast of unleavened bread. 10 The feast of firstfruits. 16 Whitsuntide. 24 The feast of blowing trumpets. 34 The feast of Tabernacles.
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, The feasts of the Lord which ye shall call the holy [a]assemblies, even these are my feasts.
3 (A)Six days [b]shall work be done, but in the seventh day shall be the Sabbath of rest, an holy [c]convocation: ye shall do no work therein, it is the Sabbath of the Lord, in all your dwellings.
4 ¶ These are the feasts of the Lord, and holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their [d]seasons.
5 In the first month and in the fourteenth day of the month at evening shall be the Passover of the Lord.
6 And on the fifteenth day of this month shall be the feast (B)of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye shall eat unleavened bread.
7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no [e]servile work therein.
8 Also ye shall offer sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord seven days, and in the [f]seventh day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
22 3 Judas selleth Christ. 7 The Apostles prepare the Passover. 24 They strive who shall be chiefest. 31 Satan desireth them. 35 Christ showeth that they wanted nothing. 42 He prayeth in the mount. 44 He sweateth blood. 50 Malchus’s ear cut off and healed. 57, 58, 60 Peter denieth Christ thrice. 63 Christ is mocked and strooken. 69 He confesseth himself to be the Son of God.
1 Now (A)the [a]feast of unleavened bread drew near, which is called the Passover.
2 And the high Priests and Scribes sought how they might kill him: for they feared the people.
3 (B)[b]Then entered Satan into Judas, who was called Iscariot, and was of the number of the twelve.
4 And he went his way, and communed with the high Priests and [c]captains, how he might betray him to them.
5 So they were glad, and agreed to give him money.
6 And he consented, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them, when the people were [d]away.
7 ¶ (C)[e]Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the Passover [f]must be sacrificed.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the [g]Passover that we may eat it.
9 And they said to him, Where wilt thou, that we prepare it?
10 Then he said unto them, Behold, when ye be entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water: follow him into the house that he entereth in,
11 And say unto the good man of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the lodging where I shall eat my Passover with my disciples?
12 Then he shall show you a great high chamber trimmed: there make it ready.
13 So they went, and found as he had said unto them, and made ready the Passover.
