Psalm 118:1-2

Thanksgiving for the Lords Saving Goodness.

118 (A)Give thanks to the Lord, for (B)He is good;
For His mercy is everlasting.
Let (C)Israel say,
“His mercy is everlasting.”

Psalm 118:19-29

19 (A)Open the gates of righteousness to me;
I will enter through them, I will give thanks to [a]the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord;
The (B)righteous will enter through it.
21 I will give thanks to You, for You have (C)answered me,
And You have (D)become my salvation.

22 A (E)stone which the builders rejected
Has become the [b]chief cornerstone.
23 This came about from the Lord;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let’s (F)rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Please, O Lord, (G)do save us;
Please, O Lord, do send (H)prosperity!
26 (I)Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord;
We have (J)blessed you from the house of the Lord.
27 (K)The Lord is God, and He has given us (L)light;
Bind the festival sacrifice [c]to the (M)horns of the altar with cords.
28 (N)You are my God, and I give thanks to You;
You are my God, (O)I exalt You.
29 (P)Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
For His mercy is everlasting.

Jeremiah 33:10-16

10 “This is what the Lord says: ‘Yet again there will be heard in this place, of which you say, “It is a (A)waste, without man and without animal,” that is, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are (B)deserted, without man and without inhabitant and without animal, 11 the voice of (C)joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say,

(D)Give thanks to the Lord of armies,
For the Lord is good,
For His mercy is everlasting,”

as they bring a (E)thanksgiving offering into the house of the Lord. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were at first,’ says the Lord.

12 “This is what the Lord of armies says: ‘There will again be in this place which is waste, (F)without man or animal, and in all its cities, a pasture for shepherds who rest their (G)flocks. 13 In the (H)cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the Negev, in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again (I)pass under the hands of the one who counts them,’ says the Lord.

The Davidic Kingdom

14 ‘Behold, (J)days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will (K)fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. 15 In those days and at that time I will make a (L)righteous Branch of David sprout; and He shall execute (M)justice and righteousness on the earth. 16 In those days (N)Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety; and this is the name by which it will be called: the (O)Lord is our righteousness.’

Mark 10:32-34

Jesus’ Sufferings Foretold

32 (A)Now they were on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking on ahead of them; and they (B)were amazed, and those who followed were fearful. And again He took the twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him, 33 saying, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and (C)the Son of Man will be [a]handed over to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will [b]hand Him over to the Gentiles. 34 And they will mock Him and (D)spit on Him, and flog Him and kill Him; and three days later He will rise from the dead.”

Mark 10:46-52

Bartimaeus Receives His Sight

46 (A)Then they *came to Jericho. And later, (B)as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a beggar who was blind named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus the (C)Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, (D)Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “(E)Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him here.” So they *called the man who was blind, saying to him, “(F)Take courage, stand up! He is calling for you.” 50 And throwing off his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus. 51 And replying to him, Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And the man who was blind said to Him, “[a](G)Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!” 52 And Jesus said to him, “Go; (H)your faith has [b]made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.
