Psalm 107:1-3

BOOK 5

The Lord Rescues People from Many Troubles.

107 (A)Give thanks to the Lord, for (B)He is good,
For His mercy is everlasting.
(C)The redeemed of the Lord shall say so,
Those whom He has (D)redeemed from the hand of the enemy
And (E)gathered from the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the [a]south.

Psalm 107:17-22

17 Fools, because of [a]their rebellious way,
And (A)because of their guilty deeds, were afflicted.
18 Their (B)souls loathed all kinds of food,
And they (C)came close to the (D)gates of death.
19 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble;
He saved them from their distresses.
20 He (E)sent His word and (F)healed them,
And (G)saved them from their [b]destruction.
21 (H)They shall give thanks to the Lord for His mercy,
And for His [c]wonders to the sons of mankind!
22 They shall also offer (I)sacrifices of thanksgiving,
And (J)tell of His works with joyful singing.

Daniel 12:5-13

Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the stream and the other on that bank of the stream. And (A)someone said to the man (B)dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, “(C)How long will it be until the end of these wonders?” And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, [a]as he (D)raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by (E)Him who lives forever that it would be for a [b](F)time, [c]times, and half a [d]time; and as soon as [e]they finish (G)smashing the [f]power of the holy people, all these events will be completed. But as for me, I heard but did not understand; so I said, “My lord, what will be the [g]outcome of these events?” And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words will be kept secret and (H)sealed up until the end time. 10 (I)Many will be purged, [h]cleansed, and refined, but the (J)wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but [i]those who (K)have insight will understand. 11 And from the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the (L)abomination [j]of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 (M)Blessed is the one who is patient and attains to the (N)1,335 days! 13 But as for you, go your way to the [k]end; then you will (O)rest and [l]rise for your (P)allotted portion at the end of the [m]age.”

Ephesians 1:7-14

(A)In [a]Him we have (B)redemption (C)through His blood, the (D)forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to (E)the riches of His grace which He [b]lavished on [c]us. In all wisdom and insight He [d](F)made known to us the mystery of His will, (G)according to His good pleasure which He (H)set forth in Him, 10 regarding His plan of (I)the fullness of the times, (J)to bring all things together in Christ, things [e]in the heavens and things on the earth. 11 [f]In Him we also (K)have obtained an inheritance, having been (L)predestined (M)according to the purpose of Him who works all things (N)in accordance with the plan of His will, 12 to the end that [g]we who were the first to hope in the [h]Christ would be (O)to the praise of His glory. 13 In [i]Him, [j]you also, after listening to (P)the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also [k]believed, you were (Q)sealed in [l]Him with (R)the Holy Spirit of the promise, 14 who is a (S)first installment of (T)our inheritance, in regard to the (U)redemption of (V)God’s own possession, (W)to the praise of His glory.
