Thanksgiving to the Lord for His Great Works of Deliverance

⁵ Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that ^(A)riverbank. ⁶ And one said to the man clothed in ^(B)linen, who was above the waters of the river, ^(C)“How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?”

⁷ Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he ^(D)held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him ^(E)who lives forever, ^(F)that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; ^(G)and when the power of ^(H)the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.

⁸ Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?”

⁹ And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. ^10 (I)Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, ^(J)but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but ^(K)the wise shall understand.

¹¹ “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. ¹² Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

¹³ “But you, go your way till the end; ^(L)for you shall rest, ^(M)and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”

^7 (A)In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to ^(B)the riches of His grace ⁸ which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and ^[a]prudence, ^9 (C)having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure ^(D)which He purposed in Himself, ¹⁰ that in the dispensation of ^(E)the fullness of the times ^(F)He might gather together in one ^(G)all things in Christ, ^[b]both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. ^11 (H)In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to ^(I)the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, ^12 (J)that we ^(K)who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

¹³ In Him you also trusted, after you heard ^(L)the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, ^(M)you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, ^14 (N)who^[c] is the ^[d]guarantee of our inheritance ^(O)until the redemption of ^(P)the purchased possession, ^(Q)to the praise of His glory.
