Psalm 145:1-8

The Lord Exalted for His Goodness.

A Psalm of Praise, of David.

145 I will (A)exalt You, (B)my God, the King,
And I will (C)bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
And I will (D)praise Your name forever and ever.
(E)Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised;
And His (F)greatness is unsearchable.
One (G)generation will praise Your works to another,
And will declare Your mighty acts.
On the (H)glorious [a]splendor of Your majesty
And (I)on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.
People will speak of the [b]power of Your (J)awesome acts,
And I will (K)tell of Your greatness.
They will burst forth [c]in speaking of Your (L)abundant goodness,
And will (M)shout joyfully of Your righteousness.

The Lord is (N)gracious and compassionate;
Slow to anger and great in mercy.

Nahum 1:1

God Is Awesome

The (A)pronouncement of (B)Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite:

Nahum 1:14-2:2

14 The Lord has issued a command concerning [a]you:
[b]Your name will (A)no longer be perpetuated.
I will eliminate the (B)carved image and the cast metal image
From the house of your gods.
I will prepare your (C)grave,
For you are contemptible.”

15 [c]Behold, (D)on the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace!
(E)Celebrate your feasts, Judah,
Pay your vows.
For (F)never again will the [d]wicked one pass through you;
He is (G)eliminated completely.

The Overthrow of Nineveh

[e]The one who (H)scatters has come up against [f]you.
Keep watch over the fortress, watch the road;
[g]Bind up your waist, [h]summon all your strength.
For the Lord will restore the (I)splendor of Jacob
(J)Like the splendor of Israel,
Even though destroyers have laid waste to them
And (K)ruined their vines.

2 Corinthians 13:1-4

Examine Yourselves

13 (A)This is the third time that I am coming to you. (B)On the [a]testimony of two or three witnesses every matter shall be confirmed. I have previously said when I was present the second time, and though now absent I say in advance to those who have (C)sinned in the past and to all the rest as well, that (D)if I come again I will not (E)spare anyone, since you are (F)seeking proof of the (G)Christ who speaks in me, who is not weak toward you, but (H)mighty in you. For indeed He was (I)crucified because of weakness, yet He lives (J)because of the power of God. For we too are (K)weak [b]in Him, yet (L)we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you.
