Psalm 100

His Steadfast Love Endures For Ever

A Psalm for (A)giving thanks.

100 (B)Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
    (C)Serve the Lord with gladness!
(D)Come into his presence with singing!
Know that (E)the Lord, he is God!
It is he who (F)made us, and (G)we are his;[a]
we are his (H)people, and (I)the sheep of his pasture.
(J)Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his (K)courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; (L)bless his name!
(M)For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures for ever,
and his (N)faithfulness to all generations.

Exodus 4:18-23

Moses Returns to Egypt

18 Moses went back to (A)Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, “Please let me go back to my brothers in Egypt to see whether they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.” 19 And the Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go back to Egypt, for (B)all the men who were seeking your life are dead.” 20 So Moses took (C)his wife and his sons and put them on a donkey, and went back to the land of Egypt. And Moses took (D)the staff of God in his hand.

21 And the Lord said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the (E)miracles that I have put in your power. But (F)I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go. 22 Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, (G)Israel is my (H)firstborn son, 23 and I say to you, “Let my son go that he may serve me.” If you refuse to let him go, behold, I (I)will kill your firstborn son.’”

Hebrews 3:1-6

Jesus Greater Than Moses

Therefore, holy brothers,[a] you who share in (A)a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, (B)the apostle and high priest of our confession, who was faithful to him who appointed him, (C)just as Moses also was faithful in all God's[b] house. For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honour than the house itself. (For every house is built by someone, but (D)the builder of all things is God.) (E)Now Moses was faithful in all God's house (F)as a servant, (G)to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over God's house as (H)a son. And (I)we are his house if indeed we (J)hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.[c]
