Psalm 25:1-10

Prayer for Protection, Guidance, and Pardon.

A Psalm of David.

25 To You, Lord, I (A)lift up my soul.
My God, in You (B)I trust,
Do not let me (C)be ashamed;
Do not let my (D)enemies rejoice over me.
Indeed, (E)none of those who wait for You will be ashamed;
[a]Those who (F)deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

(G)Make me know Your ways, Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in (H)Your truth and teach me,
For You are the (I)God of my salvation;
For You I (J)wait all the day.
(K)Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness,
For they have been [b](L)from of old.
Do not remember the (M)sins of my youth or my wrongdoings;
(N)Remember me according to Your faithfulness,
For Your (O)goodness’ sake, Lord.

(P)The Lord is good and (Q)upright;
Therefore He (R)instructs sinners in the way.
He (S)leads the [c]humble in justice,
And He (T)teaches the [d]humble His way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are (U)faithfulness and truth
To (V)those who comply with His covenant and His testimonies.

Leviticus 19:1-4

Idolatry Forbidden

19 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

“Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘(A)You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy. Every one of you (B)shall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep (C)My Sabbaths; (D)I am the Lord your God. Do not turn to (E)idols or make for yourselves cast metal (F)gods; I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 19:32-37

32 (A)You shall stand up in the presence of the grayheaded and honor [a]elders, and you shall [b]fear your God; I am the Lord.

33 (B)When a stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not [c]do him wrong. 34 The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and (C)you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.

35 (D)You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight, or volume. 36 You shall have (E)accurate balances, accurate weights, an accurate [d]ephah, and an accurate [e]hin; I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt. 37 So you shall keep all My statutes and all My ordinances, and do them; I am the Lord.’”

John 3:16-21

16 “For God so (A)loved the world, that He (B)gave His (C)only Son, so that everyone who (D)believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God (E)did not send the Son into the world (F)to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. 18 (G)The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of (H)the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment, that (I)the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for (J)their deeds were evil. 20 (K)For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed. 21 But the one who (L)practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed [a]as having been performed in God.”
