Psalm 119:73-80

Yodh

73 (A)Your hands made me and [a]fashioned me;
(B)Give me understanding, so that I may learn Your commandments.
74 May those who [b]fear You (C)see me and be glad,
Because I [c](D)wait for Your word.
75 I know, Lord, that Your judgments are (E)righteous,
And that You have afflicted me (F)in faithfulness.
76 May Your favor [d]comfort me,
According to Your [e]word to Your servant.
77 May (G)Your compassion come to me so that I may live,
For Your Law is my (H)delight.
78 May (I)the arrogant be put to shame, because they lead me astray (J)with a lie;
But I shall (K)meditate on Your precepts.
79 May those who [f]fear You turn to me,
And those who know Your testimonies.
80 May my heart be [g](L)blameless in Your statutes,
So that I will not (M)be ashamed.

Jeremiah 6:10-19

10 To whom shall I speak and give warning,
That they may hear?
Behold, their (A)ears are [a]closed
And they cannot listen.
Behold, (B)the word of the Lord has become for them a rebuke;
They take no delight in it.
11 But I am (C)full of the wrath of the Lord;
I am (D)weary of holding it in.
(E)Pour it out on the children in the street
And on the [b]gathering of young men together;
For both husband and wife shall be taken,
The old [c]and the very old.
12 Their (F)houses shall be turned over to others,
Their fields and their wives together;
For I will (G)stretch out My hand
Against the inhabitants of the land,” declares the Lord.
13 “For (H)from the least of them to the greatest of them,
Everyone is (I)greedy for gain,
And from the prophet to the priest
Everyone deals falsely.
14 They have (J)healed the brokenness of My people superficially,
Saying, ‘Peace, peace,’
But there is no peace.
15 Were they (K)ashamed because of the abomination they had done?
They were not ashamed at all,
Nor did they know even how to be ashamed.
Therefore they will fall among those who fall;
At the time that I punish them,
They will collapse,” says the Lord.

16 This is what the Lord says:
“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the (L)ancient paths,
Where the good way is, and walk in it;
Then (M)you will find a resting place for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
17 And I set (N)watchmen over you, saying,
‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’
But they said, ‘We will not listen.’
18 Therefore hear, you nations,
And know, you congregation, what is among them.
19 (O)Hear, earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people,
The (P)fruit of their [d]plans,
Because they have not listened to My words,
And as for My Law, they have (Q)rejected it also.

Acts 19:21-27

21 Now after these things were finished, Paul resolved in [a]the Spirit to (A)go to Jerusalem (B)after he had passed through (C)Macedonia and (D)Achaia, saying, “After I have been there, (E)I must also see Rome.” 22 And after he sent into (F)Macedonia two of (G)those who assisted him, (H)Timothy and (I)Erastus, he himself stayed in [b](J)Asia for a while.

23 About that time [c]a major disturbance occurred in regard to [d](K)the Way. 24 For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith who made silver shrines of [e]Artemis, (L)was bringing [f]considerable [g]business to the craftsmen; 25 he gathered these men together with the workmen of similar trades, and said, “Men, you know that our prosperity [h]depends upon this business. 26 You see and hear that not only in (M)Ephesus, but in almost all of [i](N)Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away a considerable number of people, saying that [j](O)gods made by hands are not gods at all. 27 Not only is there danger that this trade of ours will fall into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess [k]Artemis will be regarded as worthless, and that she whom all of [l](P)Asia and (Q)the [m]world worship will even be dethroned from her magnificence.”
