Psalm 97

The Lord Reigns

97 (A)The Lord reigns, (B)let the earth rejoice;
    let the many (C)coastlands be glad!
(D)Clouds and thick darkness are all round him;
    (E)righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
(F)Fire goes before him
    and burns up his adversaries all round.
His (G)lightnings light up the world;
    the earth sees and (H)trembles.
The mountains (I)melt like (J)wax before the Lord,
    before (K)the Lord of all the earth.
(L)The heavens proclaim his righteousness,
    and all (M)the peoples see his glory.
All worshippers of images are (N)put to shame,
    who make their boast in (O)worthless idols;
    (P)worship him, all you gods!
Zion hears and (Q)is glad,
    and the daughters of Judah rejoice,
    because of your judgements, O Lord.
For you, O Lord, are (R)most high over all the earth;
    you are exalted far above (S)all gods.
10 O you who love the Lord, (T)hate evil!
    He (U)preserves the lives of his (V)saints;
    he (W)delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 (X)Light (Y)is sown[a] for the righteous,
    and joy for the upright in heart.
12 (Z)Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous,
    and (AA)give thanks to his holy name!

Exodus 33:12-17

Moses' Intercession

12 Moses said to the Lord, “See, (A)you say to me, ‘Bring up this people’, but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, (B)‘I know you by name, and you have also found favour in my sight.’ 13 Now therefore, if I have found favour in your sight, please (C)show me now your ways, that I may know you in order to find favour in your sight. Consider too that this nation is (D)your people.” 14 And he said, (E)“My presence will go with you, and (F)I will give you rest.” 15 And he said to him, (G)“If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here. 16 For how shall it be known that I have found favour in your sight, I and your people? (H)Is it not in your going with us, (I)so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?”

17 And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, (J)for you have found favour in my sight, and I know you by name.”

Revelation 22:6-9

Jesus Is Coming

And he said to me, (A)“These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of (B)the spirits of the prophets, (C)has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”

“And behold, (D)I am coming soon. (E)Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

I, (F)John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, (G)I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, (H)but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant[a] with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those (I)who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”
