Version
Acts 5:27-32

27 When they had brought them, they had them stand [a]before (A)the Council. The high priest interrogated them, 28 saying, “We gave you (B)strict orders not to continue teaching in this name, and [b]yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and (C)intend to bring this Man’s blood upon us.” 29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “(D)We must obey God rather than men. 30 (E)The God of our fathers (F)raised up Jesus, whom you (G)put to death by hanging Him on [c](H)a cross. 31 (I)He is the one whom God exalted [d]to His right hand as a [e](J)Prince and a (K)Savior, to grant (L)repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are (M)witnesses [f]of these things; and (N)so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

Psalm 118:14-29

14 [a](A)The Lord is my strength and song,
And He has become (B)my salvation.

15 The sound of (C)joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous;
The (D)right hand of the Lord performs valiantly.
16 The (E)right hand of the Lord is exalted;
The right hand of the Lord performs valiantly.
17 I (F)will not die, but live,
And (G)tell of the works of [b]the Lord.
18 [c]The Lord has (H)disciplined me severely,
But He has (I)not turned me over to death.

19 (J)Open the gates of righteousness to me;
I will enter through them, I will give thanks to [d]the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord;
The (K)righteous will enter through it.
21 I will give thanks to You, for You have (L)answered me,
And You have (M)become my salvation.

22 A (N)stone which the builders rejected
Has become the [e]chief cornerstone.
23 This came about from the Lord;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let’s (O)rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Please, O Lord, (P)do save us;
Please, O Lord, do send (Q)prosperity!
26 (R)Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord;
We have (S)blessed you from the house of the Lord.
27 (T)The Lord is God, and He has given us (U)light;
Bind the festival sacrifice [f]to the (V)horns of the altar with cords.
28 (W)You are my God, and I give thanks to You;
You are my God, (X)I exalt You.
29 (Y)Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
For His mercy is everlasting.

Psalm 150

A Psalm of Praise.

150 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
Praise God in His (A)sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty [c](B)expanse.
Praise Him for His (C)mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent (D)greatness.

Praise Him with (E)trumpet sound;
Praise Him with (F)harp and lyre.
Praise Him with (G)tambourine and dancing;
Praise Him with (H)stringed instruments and (I)flute.
Praise Him with loud (J)cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
(K)Everything that has breath shall praise [d]the Lord.
[e]Praise [f]the Lord!

Revelation 1:4-8

Message to the Seven Churches

(A)John to (B)the seven churches that are in (C)Asia: (D)Grace to you and peace from (E)Him who is, and who was, and who [a]is to come, and from (F)the [b]seven spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, (G)the faithful witness, the (H)firstborn of the dead, and the (I)ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who (J)loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— and He made us into a (K)kingdom, (L)priests to [c](M)His God and Father—(N)to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (O)Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and (P)every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will (Q)mourn over Him. [d]So it is to be. Amen.

“I am (R)the Alpha and the Omega,” says the (S)Lord God, (T)who is and who was and who [e]is to come, the Almighty.”

John 20:19-31

Jesus among His Disciples

19 Now when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were [a]shut where the disciples were together due to (A)fear of the [b]Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and *said to them, (B)Peace be to you.” 20 And when He had said this, (C)He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then (D)rejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, (E)Peace be to you; (F)just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 (G)If you forgive the sins of any, their sins [c]have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”

24 But (H)Thomas, one of (I)the twelve, who was called [d](J)Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in (K)His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, (L)I will not believe.”

26 [e]Eight days later His disciples were again inside, and Thomas was with them. Jesus *came, the doors having been [f]shut, and stood in their midst and said, (M)Peace be to you.” 27 Then He *said to Thomas, (N)Place your finger here, and see My hands; and take your hand and put it into My side; and do not continue in disbelief, but be a believer.” 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? (O)Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

Why This Gospel Was Written

30 (P)So then, many other [g](Q)signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these have been written (R)so that you may believe that Jesus is the [h]Christ, (S)the Son of God; and that by (T)believing you may have life in His name.
