Deuteronomy 11:18-21

18 ¶ Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and (A)bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as a frontlet between your eyes,

19 And ye shall (B)teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

20 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thine house, and upon thy gates,

21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as long as [a]the heavens are above the earth.

Deuteronomy 11:26-28

26 ¶ Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:

27 (A)The blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:

28 And the (B)curse, if ye will not obey the Commandments of the Lord your God, but turn out of the way, which I command you this day, to go after other gods which ye have not [a]known.

Psalm 31:1-5

31 1 David delivered from some great danger, first rehearseth what meditation he had by the power of faith, when death was before his eyes, his enemy being ready to take him. 15 Then he affirmeth that the favor of God is always ready to those that fear him. 20 Finally he exhorteth all the faithful to trust in God and to love him, because he preserveth and strengtheneth them, as they may see by his example.

To him that excelleth. A Psalm of David.

In (A)thee, O Lord, have I put my trust: let me never be confounded: deliver me in thy [a]righteousness.

Bow down thine ear to me: make haste to deliver me: be unto me a strong rock, and an house of defense to save me.

For thou art my rock and my fortress: therefore for thy Name’s sake direct me and guide me.

Draw me out of the [b]net, that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

Into thine [c]hand I commend my spirit: for thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

Psalm 31:19-24

19 How great is thy goodness, which thou [a]hast laid up for them that fear thee! and done to them that trust in thee, even before the sons of men!

20 Thou dost hide them [b][c]privily in thy presence from the pride of men: thou keepest them secretly in thy Tabernacle from the strife of tongues.

21 Blessed be the Lord: for he hath showed his marvelous kindness toward me in a [d]strong city.

22 Though I said in mine [e]haste, I am cast out of thy sight, yet thou heardest the voice of my prayer, when I cried unto thee.

23 Love ye the Lord all his [f]Saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and rewardeth abundantly the proud doer.

24 All ye that trust in the Lord, be [g]strong, and he shall establish your heart.

Romans 1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: [a]for it is the [b]power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the [c]Grecian.

17 [d]For by it the righteousness of God is revealed from [e]faith to faith: [f]as it is written, (A)The just shall live by faith.

Romans 3:22-28

22 [a]To wit, the righteousness of God by the faith of [b]Jesus Christ, unto all, and upon all that believe.

23 For there is no difference: for all have sinned, and are deprived of the [c]glory of God,

24 [d]And are justified [e]freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

25 [f]Whom God hath set forth to be a reconciliation through faith in his [g]blood to declare his righteousness, by the forgiveness of the sins that [h]are passed,

26 Through the [i]patience of God, to show at [j]this time his righteousness, that he might be [k]just, and a [l]justifier of him which is of the [m]faith of Jesus.

27 [n]Where is then the rejoicing? It is excluded. By what [o]Law? of works? Nay: but by the Law of faith.

28 Therefore we conclude, that a man is justified by faith, without the works of the Law.

Romans 3:29-31

29 [a]God, is he the God of the [b]Jews only, and not of the Gentiles also? Yes, even of the Gentiles also.

30 For it is one God, who shall justify [c]circumcision of faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

31 [d]Do we then make the Law of [e]none effect through faith? God forbid: yea, we [f]establish the Law.

Matthew 7:21-29

21 [a]Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, (A)but he that doeth my Father’s will which is in heaven.

22 (B)Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not by thy [b]Name prophesied, and by thy name cast out devils? and by thy name done many [c]great works?

23 And then will I profess to them, (C)[d]I never knew you, (D)depart from me [e]ye that work iniquity.

24 [f]Whosoever then heareth of me these words, (E)and doeth the same, I will liken him to a wise man, which hath builded his house on a rock:

25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not: for it was grounded on a rock,

26 But whosoever heareth these my words, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which hath builded his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell, and the fall thereof was great.

28 (F)And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these words, the people were astonished at his doctrine.

29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the Scribes.
