41 Blessed is he who judges wisely of the poor. The LORD shall deliver him in the time of trouble.

² The LORD will keep him and preserve him alive. He shall be blessed upon the Earth; and You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

³ The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of sorrow. You have turned all his bed in his sickness.

⁴ I said, “LORD have mercy upon me. Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.”

⁵ My enemies speak evil of me, saying, “When shall he die, and his name perish?”

⁶ And if he come to see me, he speaks lies; his heart heaps iniquity within him. When he comes forth, he tells it.

⁷ All those who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine my hurt against me, saying,

⁸ “A mischief lies upon him,” and, “He who lies shall rise no more.”

⁹ Indeed, my familiar friend whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted up the heel against me.

¹⁰ Therefore, O LORD, have mercy upon me and raise me up. So shall I reward them.

¹¹ By this I know that You favor me: because my enemy does not triumph against me.

¹² And as for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me before Your face forever.

¹³ Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, world without end! So be it. Even so be it! To him who excels: A Psalm to give instruction, committed to the sons of Korah.

39 At the same time, Merodach-Baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babel, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah. For he had heard that he had been sick and had recovered.

² And Hezekiah was glad for them, and showed them the house of the treasures, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures. There was nothing in his house, nor in all his kingdom, that Hezekiah did not show them.

³ Then came Isaiah the Prophet to King Hezekiah, and said to him, “What did these men say? And from where have they come to you?” And Hezekiah said, “They have come to me from a far country, from Babel.”

⁴ Then he said, “What have they seen in your house?” And Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”

⁵ And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the Word of the LORD of Hosts,

⁶ ‘Behold, the days come that all that is in your house, and which your fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babel. Nothing shall be left,’ says the LORD.

⁷ ‘And your sons who shall proceed out of you, which you shall beget, they shall take away. And they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babel.’”

⁸ Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, “The Word of the LORD which you have spoken is good.” And he said, “For there is peace and truth in my days.”

³⁸ And He rose up, and came out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever, and they required Him for her.

³⁹ Then He stood over her and rebuked the fever. And it left her. And immediately she arose and ministered to them.

⁴⁰ Now at sunset, all those who had sick of diverse diseases, brought them to Him. And He laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.

⁴¹ And demons also came out of many, crying, and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” But He rebuked them and did not allow them to say that they knew Him to be the Christ.
