His wonderful works among all peoples.(D)

but the Lord made the heavens.(F)
Splendor and majesty are before Him;
strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.(G)

Ascribe to the Lord, you families of the peoples,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.(H)
Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name;(I)
bring an offering and enter His courts.(J)

tremble before Him, all the earth.(L)

Psalm 96:10-13

10 Say among the nations: “The Lord reigns.(A)
The world is firmly established; it cannot be shaken.(B)
He judges the peoples fairly.”(C)
11 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice;
let the sea and all that fills it resound.(D)
12 Let the fields and everything in them exult.
Then all the trees of the forest will shout for joy(E)
13 before the Lord, for He is coming—
for He is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness
and the peoples with His faithfulness.(F)

Judges 17:1-6

Micah’s Priest

17 There was a man from the hill country of Ephraim named Micah. He said to his mother, “The 1,100 pieces of silver taken from you, and that I heard you utter a curse about—here, I have the silver with me. I took it. So now I return it to you.”[a]

Then his mother said, “My son, you are blessed by the Lord!”(A)

He returned the 1,100 pieces of silver to his mother, and his mother said, “I personally consecrate(B) the silver to the Lord for my son’s benefit to make a carved image overlaid with silver.”[b] So he returned the silver to his mother, and she took five pounds of silver and gave it to a silversmith. He made it into a carved image overlaid with silver,[c] and it was in Micah’s house.

This man Micah had a shrine, and he made an ephod and household idols,(C) and installed one of his sons to be his priest. In those days there was no king in Israel;(D) everyone did whatever he wanted.[d]

3 John 9-12

Diotrephes and Demetrius

I wrote something to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to have first place among them,(A) does not receive us.(B) 10 This is why, if I come, I will remind him of the works he is doing, slandering(C) us with malicious words. And he is not satisfied with that! He not only refuses to welcome the brothers himself, but he even stops those who want to do so and expels them from the church.

11 Dear friend,[a] do not imitate what is evil,(D) but what is good. The one who does good is of God;(E) the one who does evil has not seen God.(F) 12 Demetrius has a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself. And we also testify for him, and you know(G) that our testimony is true.(H)
