Psalm 145:1-8

Yahweh’s Greatness Is Unsearchable

A Praise of David.

Aleph

145 I will (A)exalt You, (B)my God, O King,
And I will (C)bless Your name forever and ever.

Beth

Every day I will bless You,
And I will (D)praise Your name forever and ever.

Gimel

(E)Great is Yahweh, and highly to be praised,
And His (F)greatness is unsearchable.

Daleth

One (G)generation shall laud Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty deeds.

He

On the (H)glorious [a]splendor of Your majesty
And (I)on the words of Your wondrous deeds, I will muse.

Vav

Men shall speak of the strength of Your [b](J)fearsome acts,
And I will (K)recount Your greatness.

Zayin

They shall pour forth the memory of Your (L)abundant goodness
And will (M)shout joyfully of Your righteousness.

Heth

Yahweh is (N)gracious and compassionate;
Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.

Nahum 1:1

Yahweh’s Wrath Against Nineveh

The [a](A)oracle of (B)Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

Nahum 1:14-2:2

14 And Yahweh has commanded concerning [a]you:
[b]There will (A)no longer be seed from your name.
From the house of your gods,
I will cut off (B)graven image and molten image.
I will prepare your (C)grave,
For you are contemptible.”

15 [c]Behold, (D)on the mountains the feet of him who proclaims good news,
Who [d]announces peace!
(E)Celebrate your feasts, O Judah;
Pay your vows.
For (F)never again will the [e]vile one pass through you;
He is (G)cut off completely.

Yahweh’s Destruction of Nineveh

[f]The one who (H)scatters has come up against [g]you.
Guard the fortification, watch the road;
Strengthen your loins, [h]instill your power with exceeding courage.
For Yahweh will restore the (I)majesty of Jacob
(J)Like the majesty of Israel,
Even though those who empty them have emptied them to destruction
And (K)ruined their vine branches.

2 Corinthians 13:1-4

Examine Yourselves

13 (A)This is the third time I am coming to you. (B)By the mouth of two or three witnesses every [a]matter shall be confirmed. I have previously said when present the second time, and though now absent I say in advance to those who have (C)sinned in the past and to all the rest as well, that (D)if I come again I will not (E)spare anyone, since you are (F)seeking proof that (G)Christ speaks in me; He is not weak toward you, but (H)mighty in you. For indeed He was (I)crucified because of weakness, yet He lives (J)because of the power of God. For we also are (K)weak [b]in Him, yet (L)we will live with Him because of the power of God toward you.
