The Death of Joseph

²² Now Joseph stayed in Egypt, he and his father’s household, and Joseph lived 110 years. ²³ And Joseph saw the third generation of Ephraim’s sons; also the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were ^(A)born on Joseph’s knees. ²⁴ And Joseph said to his brothers, “^(B)I am about to die, but God will surely ^[a]take care of you and bring you up from this land to the land which He swore to ^(C)Abraham, to ^(D)Isaac, and to ^(E)Jacob.” ²⁵ Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying, “God will surely ^[b]take care of you, and ^(F)you shall carry my bones up from here.” ²⁶ So Joseph died at the age of 110 years; and ^(G)they embalmed him, and he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

^20 (A)And as they were passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. ²¹ And being reminded, Peter *said to Him, “^(B)Rabbi, look, the fig tree which You cursed has withered.” ²² And Jesus answered and *said to them, “^(C)Have faith in God. ^23 (D)Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says ^[a]is going to happen, it will be granted him. ²⁴ For this reason I say to you, ^(E)all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you. ²⁵ And whenever you ^(F)stand praying, ^(G)forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.
