Genesis 50:15-21

15 And when Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “It may be that Joseph will hate us, and will pay us back for all the evil which we did to him.”

16 Therefore, they sent to Joseph, saying, “Your father commanded before his death, saying,

17 ‘Thus shall you say to Joseph, “Please forgive, now, the trespass of your brothers and their sin. For they rewarded you evil.”’ And now, please forgive the trespass of the servants of your father’s God.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

18 Also, his brothers came to him and fell down before his face, and said, “Behold, we are your servants.”

19 To whom Joseph said, “Do not fear. For, am not I under God?

20 “When you thought evil against me, God disposed it to good, so that He might bring to pass as it is this day and save many people alive.

21 “Now, therefore, do not fear. I will nourish you and your children.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

Psalm 103:1-7

103 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me! Praise His Holy Name!

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits!

Who forgives all your iniquity and heals all your infirmities.

Who redeems your life from the grave and crowns you with mercy and compassions.

Who satisfies your mouth with good things; and your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The LORD executes righteousness and judgment for all who are oppressed.

He made His ways known to Moses and His works to the children of Israel.

Psalm 103:8-13

The LORD is full of compassion and mercy, slow to anger and of great kindness.

He will not always strive with us; nor will He keep His anger forever.

10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as high as the heaven is above the Earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our sins from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.

Romans 14:1-12

14 Receive the one who is weak in the faith, but not for passing judgment on his reasoning.

One believes that he may eat all things. And another, who is weak, eats only vegetables.

Do not let the one who eats treat the one who does not eat with contempt. And do not let the one who does not eat judge the one who eats. For God has received him.

Who are you to judge another man’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he shall be upheld. For God is able to make him stand.

One esteems one day above another day, and another counts every day alike. Let everyone be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Whoever observes the day, observes it to the Lord. And whoever does not observe the day, does not observe it to the Lord. Whoever eats, eats to the Lord. For he gives God thanks. And whoever does not eat, does not eat to the Lord, and gives God thanks.

For none of us lives to himself. Nor does anyone die to himself.

For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord: Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

For to this end Christ died and rose again, and revived, so that He might be Lord, both of the dead and the living.

10 But why do you condemn your brother? Or why do you contemn your brother? For we shall all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.

11 For it is written, “I live, says the Lord. And every knee shall bow to Me. And all tongues shall confess unto God”.

12 So then everyone of us shall give accounts of himself to God.

Matthew 18:21-35

21 Then Peter came to Him, and said, “Master, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I shall forgive him - up to seven times?”

22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, ‘Up to seven times’, but, ‘Up to seventy times seven times’.

23 “Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain King, who would take an account of his servants.

24 “And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.

25 “And because he had nothing to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold - and his wife, and children, and all that he had - and the debt to be paid.

26 “Therefore, the servant fell down and worshipped him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me and I will pay you all!’

27 “Then that servant’s lord had compassion and freed him. And forgave him the debt.

28 “But when the servant had departed, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. And he laid hands on him, and choked him, saying, ‘Pay me that you owe!’

29 “Then his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all!’

30 “But he would not. And went and cast him into prison, until he should pay the debt.

31 “And when his other fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry. And they came and declared to their lord all that was done.

32 “Then his lord called him, and said to him, ‘O evil servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me.

33 “‘Ought not you also have had pity on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you?’

34 “So his lord was angry, and delivered him to the jailers, until he should pay all that was due to him.

35 “So likewise shall My Heavenly Father do to you, unless you forgive - from your hearts - each one his brother their trespasses.”
