Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
The Nations Exhorted to Praise God.
For the choir director; with stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song.
67 God be gracious to us and (A)bless us,
And (B)cause His face to shine [a]upon us— [b]Selah.
2 That (C)Your way may be known on the earth,
(D)Your salvation among all nations.
3 Let the (E)peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
4 Let the (F)nations be glad and sing for joy;
For You will (G)judge the peoples with uprightness
And (H)guide the nations on the earth. Selah.
5 Let the (I)peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
6 The (J)earth has yielded its produce;
God, our God, (K)blesses us.
7 God blesses us,
[c]That (L)all the ends of the earth may fear Him.
20 “(A)Gather yourselves and come;
Draw near together, you fugitives of the nations;
(B)They have no knowledge,
Who (C)carry about [a]their wooden idol
And (D)pray to a god who cannot save.
21 “(E)Declare and set forth your case;
Indeed, let them consult together.
(F)Who has announced this from of old?
Who has long since declared it?
Is it not I, the Lord?
And there is (G)no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a (H)Savior;
There is none except Me.
22 “(I)Turn to Me and (J)be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.
23 “(K)I have sworn by Myself,
The (L)word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me (M)every knee will bow, every tongue will (N)swear allegiance.
24 “They will say of Me, ‘Only (O)in the Lord are righteousness and strength.’
Men will come to Him,
And (P)all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.
25 “In the Lord all the offspring of Israel
Will be (Q)justified and will (R)glory.”
A Scene of Heaven
15 Then I saw (A)another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, (B)seven angels who had (C)seven plagues, which are (D)the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished.
2 And I saw something like a (E)sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had (F)been victorious [a]over the (G)beast and (H)his image and the (I)number of his name, standing on the (J)sea of glass, holding (K)harps of God. 3 And they *sang the (L)song of Moses, (M)the bond-servant of God, and the (N)song of the Lamb, saying,
“(O)Great and marvelous are Your works,
(P)O Lord God, the Almighty;
Righteous and true are Your ways,
(Q)King of the [b]nations!
4 “(R)Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy;
For (S)all the nations will come and worship before You,
For Your [c](T)righteous acts have been revealed.”
