Psalm 29

Praise to God in His Holiness and Majesty

A Psalm of David.

29 Give[a] (A)unto the Lord, O you mighty ones,
Give unto the Lord glory and strength.
[b]Give unto the Lord the glory [c]due to His name;
Worship the Lord in (B)the [d]beauty of holiness.

The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
(C)The God of glory thunders;
The Lord is over many waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaks (D)the cedars,
Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.
(E)He makes them also skip like a calf,
Lebanon and (F)Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the Lord [e]divides the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the Wilderness of (G)Kadesh.
The voice of the Lord makes the (H)deer give birth,
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”

10 The (I)Lord sat enthroned at the Flood,
And (J)the Lord sits as King forever.
11 (K)The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace.

Job 39:13-25

13 “The wings of the ostrich wave proudly,
But are her wings and pinions like the kindly stork’s?
14 For she leaves her eggs on the ground,
And warms them in the dust;
15 She forgets that a foot may crush them,
Or that a wild beast may break them.
16 She (A)treats her young harshly, as though they were not hers;
Her labor is in vain, without [a]concern,
17 Because God deprived her of wisdom,
And did not (B)endow her with understanding.
18 When she lifts herself on high,
She scorns the horse and its rider.

19 “Have you given the horse strength?
Have you clothed his neck with [b]thunder?
20 Can you [c]frighten him like a locust?
His majestic snorting strikes terror.
21 He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength;
(C)He gallops into the clash of arms.
22 He mocks at fear, and is not frightened;
Nor does he turn back from the sword.
23 The quiver rattles against him,
The glittering spear and javelin.
24 He devours the distance with fierceness and rage;
Nor does he come to a halt because the trumpet has sounded.
25 At the blast of the trumpet he says, ‘Aha!’
He smells the battle from afar,
The thunder of captains and shouting.

1 Corinthians 12:4-13

(A)There are [a]diversities of gifts, but (B)the same Spirit. (C)There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God (D)who works [b]all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given (E)the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another (F)the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, (G)to another faith by the same Spirit, to another (H)gifts of healings by [c]the same Spirit, 10 (I)to another the working of miracles, to another (J)prophecy, to another (K)discerning of spirits, to another (L)different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, (M)distributing to each one individually (N)as He wills.

Unity and Diversity in One Body(O)

12 For (P)as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, (Q)so also is Christ. 13 For (R)by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—(S)whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and (T)have all been made to drink [d]into one Spirit.
