Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
8 Bless our God, O peoples,
And [a](A)make the sound of His praise heard,
9 Who [b](B)establishes us among the living
And (C)does not allow our feet to stumble.
10 For You have (D)tested us, O God;
You have (E)refined us as silver is refined.
11 You (F)brought us into the net;
You established an oppressive burden upon our loins.
12 You made men (G)ride over our heads;
We went through (H)fire and through water,
Yet You (I)brought us out into a place of abundance.
13 I shall (J)come into Your house with burnt offerings;
I shall (K)pay You my vows,
14 Which my lips uttered
And my mouth spoke when I was (L)in distress.
15 I shall (M)offer to You burnt offerings of fat beasts,
With the smoke of (N)rams;
I shall make an offering of [c]bulls with male goats. Selah.
16 (O)Come and hear, all who [d]fear God,
And I will (P)recount what He has done for my soul.
17 I called out to Him with my mouth,
And [e]He was (Q)exalted with my tongue.
18 If I [f](R)see wickedness in my heart,
The (S)Lord [g]will not [h]hear;
19 But certainly (T)God has heard;
He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
20 (U)Blessed be God,
Who (V)has not turned away my prayer
Nor His lovingkindness from me.
13 Now it happened in the (A)six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the water was dried up [a]from the earth. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and behold, the [b]surface of the ground was dried up. 14 In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry. 15 Then God spoke to Noah, saying, 16 “Go out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and your sons’ wives with you. 17 Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you, birds and animals and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may (B)swarm on the earth, and that they may be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” 18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him. 19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out [c]by their families from the ark.
27 (A)Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. (B)Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. 28 (C)You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and (D)I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because (E)I go to the Father, for (F)the Father is greater than I. 29 And now (G)I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.
