Version
Psalm 16

16 Preserve me, O God. For in You do I trust.

O my soul, you have said to the LORD, “You are my LORD. My goodness is not, but for You.”

To the saints who are on the Earth, and to the excellent, all my delight is in them.

The sorrows of those who offer to another god shall be multiplied. Their offerings of blood I will not offer; nor make mention of their names with my lips.

The LORD is the portion of my inheritance, and of my cup. You shall maintain my lot.

The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Indeed, I have a fair heritage.

I will praise the LORD Who has given me counsel. My core also teaches me in the nights.

I have set the LORD always before me. For He is at my right hand. Therefore, I shall not slide.

Therefore, my heart is glad. And my tongue rejoices. My flesh, also, rests in hope.

10 For You will not leave my soul in the grave. Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

11 You will show me the path of life. In Your presence is the fullness of joy. And at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. The prayer of David.

Song of Solomon 2:8-15

“It is the voice of my well-beloved. Behold, he comes leaping by the mountains, and skipping by the hills.

“My well-beloved is like a gazelle, or a young stag. Lo, he stands behind our wall, looking forth from the windows, showing himself through the grates.

10 “My well-beloved spoke and said to me, ‘Arise, my love, my fair one, and come your way.

11 ‘For behold, winter has passed. The rain has ended and has gone away.

12 ‘The flowers appear on the Earth. The time of the singing of birds has come. And the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.

13 ‘The fig tree has brought forth her young figs. And the vines, with small grapes, have cast a savor. Arise my love, my fair one, and come away.’

14 “My dove, who is in the holes of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me catch sight of you. Let me hear your voice. For your voice is sweet and your face comely.”

15 “Take us, the foxes, the little foxes who destroy the vines. For our vines have small grapes.”

Colossians 4:2-5

Be steadfast in prayer, watching with thanksgiving;

praying also for us that God may open a door of utterance to us to speak the mystery of Christ (because of which I am also in bonds);

that I should make it clear as it behooves me to speak.

Walk wisely toward those who are outside, rescuing lost time.
