Psalm 121

121 1 This Psalm teacheth that the faithful ought only to look for help at God, 7 who only doth maintain, preserve and prosper his Church.

A song of degrees.

I will lift up mine eyes [a]unto the mountains, from whence my help shall come.

Mine help cometh from the Lord, which hath made the [b]heaven and the earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to slip: for he that keepeth thee, will not [c]slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel, will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.

The sun shall not [d]smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall keep thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy [e]going out, and thy coming in from henceforth and forever.

Micah 7:18-20

18 Who is a God like unto thee, that taketh away iniquity, and [a]passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage! He retaineth not his wrath forever, because mercy pleaseth him.

19 He will turn again, and have compassion upon us: he will subdue our iniquities, and cast all [b]their sins into the bottom of the sea.

20 Thou wilt perform thy [c]truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as thou hast sworn unto our fathers in old time.

Romans 3:21-31

21 [a]But now is the righteousness of God made manifest without the Law, having witness of the Law, and of the Prophets,

22 [b]To wit, the righteousness of God by the faith of [c]Jesus Christ, unto all, and upon all that believe.

23 For there is no difference: for all have sinned, and are deprived of the [d]glory of God,

24 [e]And are justified [f]freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

25 [g]Whom God hath set forth to be a reconciliation through faith in his [h]blood to declare his righteousness, by the forgiveness of the sins that [i]are passed,

26 Through the [j]patience of God, to show at [k]this time his righteousness, that he might be [l]just, and a [m]justifier of him which is of the [n]faith of Jesus.

27 [o]Where is then the rejoicing? It is excluded. By what [p]Law? of works? Nay: but by the Law of faith.

28 Therefore we conclude, that a man is justified by faith, without the works of the Law.

29 [q]God, is he the God of the [r]Jews only, and not of the Gentiles also? Yes, even of the Gentiles also.

30 For it is one God, who shall justify [s]circumcision of faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

31 [t]Do we then make the Law of [u]none effect through faith? God forbid: yea, we [v]establish the Law.
