121 1 This Psalm teacheth that the faithful ought only to look for help at God, 7 who only doth maintain, preserve and prosper his Church.
A song of degrees.
1 I will lift up mine eyes [a]unto the mountains, from whence my help shall come.
2 Mine help cometh from the Lord, which hath made the [b]heaven and the earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to slip: for he that keepeth thee, will not [c]slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel, will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not [d]smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall keep thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy [e]going out, and thy coming in from henceforth and forever.

1 Hear me [a]ye that follow after righteousness, and ye that seek the Lord: look unto the [b]rock, whence you are hewn, and to the hole of the pit, whence ye are dug.
2 Consider Abraham your father, and Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him.
3 Surely the Lord shall comfort Zion: he shall comfort all her desolations, and he shall make her desert [c]like Eden, and her wilderness like the garden of the Lord: joy and gladness shall be found therein: praise, and the voice of singing.
3 [a]I thank God, (A)whom I serve from mine [b]elders with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day.
4 Desiring to see thee, mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy:
5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and am assured that it dwelleth in thee also.
6 [c]Wherefore, I put thee in remembrance that thou [d]stir up the gift of God which is in thee, by the putting on of mine hands.
7 For God hath not given to us the Spirit of [e]fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
