Psalm 32:1-7

32 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

When I kept silent, my bones waxed old through my groaning all the day long.

For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me; the sap of my soul was turned into the drought of summer. Selah

I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, “I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord,” and Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; surely the floods of great waters shall not come nigh unto him.

Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah

Isaiah 1:1-9

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord hath spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me.

The ox knoweth his owner and the ass his master’s crib; but Israel doth not know, My people doth not consider.”

Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters! They have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they have gone away backward.

Why should ye be stricken anymore? Ye will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

From the sole of the foot even unto the head, there is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire; your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a shed in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

Unless the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

John 8:39-47

39 They answered and said unto Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said unto them, “If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

40 But now ye seek to kill Me, a Man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard from God: this did not Abraham.

41 Ye do the deeds of your father.” Then they said to Him, “We are not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.”

42 Jesus said unto them, “If God were your Father, ye would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me.

43 Why do ye not understand My speech? Even because ye cannot hear My Word!

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe Me not.

46 Which of you convicteth Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe Me?

47 He that is of God heareth God’s words; ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.”
