Version
Psalm 84:1-7

Longing for the Temple Worship.

For the choir director; [a]on the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

84 How lovely are Your (A)dwelling places,
O Lord of hosts!
My (B)soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the (C)living God.
The bird also has found a house,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young,
Even Your (D)altars, O Lord of hosts,
(E)My King and my God.
How (F)blessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are (G)ever praising You. [b]Selah.

How blessed is the man whose (H)strength is in You,
In [c]whose heart are the (I)highways to Zion!
Passing through the valley of [d]Baca they make it a [e]spring;
The (J)early rain also covers it with blessings.
They (K)go from strength to strength,
[f]Every one of them (L)appears before God in Zion.

Jeremiah 9:17-26

17 Thus says the Lord of hosts,

“Consider and call for the (A)mourning women, that they may come;
And send for the [a](B)wailing women, that they may come!
18 “Let them make haste and take up a wailing for us,
That our (C)eyes may shed tears
And our eyelids flow with water.
19 “For a voice of (D)wailing is heard from Zion,
(E)How are we ruined!
We are put to great shame,
For we have (F)left the land,
Because they have cast down our dwellings.’”
20 Now hear the word of the Lord, O you (G)women,
And let your ear receive the word of His mouth;
Teach your daughters wailing,
And everyone her neighbor a dirge.
21 For (H)death has come up through our windows;
It has entered our palaces
To cut off the (I)children from the streets,
The young men from the town squares.
22 Speak, “Thus says the Lord,
‘The corpses of men will fall (J)like dung on the open field,
And like the sheaf after the reaper,
But no one will gather them.’”

23 Thus says the Lord, “(K)Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the (L)mighty man boast of his might, let not a (M)rich man boast of his riches; 24 but let him who boasts (N)boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who (O)exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I (P)delight in these things,” declares the Lord.

25 “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet (Q)uncircumcised— 26 Egypt and Judah, and Edom and the sons of Ammon, and Moab and (R)all those inhabiting the desert who clip the hair on their temples; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are (S)uncircumcised of heart.”

2 Timothy 3:10-15

10 Now you (A)followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, (B)love, [a]perseverance, 11 (C)persecutions, and (D)sufferings, such as happened to me at (E)Antioch, at (F)Iconium and at (G)Lystra; what (H)persecutions I endured, and out of them all (I)the Lord rescued me! 12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus (J)will be persecuted. 13 But evil men and impostors (K)will proceed from bad to worse, (L)deceiving and being deceived. 14 You, however, (M)continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that (N)from childhood you have known (O)the sacred writings which are able to (P)give you the wisdom that leads to (Q)salvation through faith which is in (R)Christ Jesus.
