Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
61 1 Whether that he were in danger of the Ammonites, or being pursued of Absalom, here he crieth to be heard and delivered, 7 And confirmed in his kingdom. 8 He promiseth perpetual praises.
To him that excelleth on Neginoth. A Psalm of David.
1 Hear my cry, O God: give ear unto my prayer.
2 From [a]the ends of the earth will I cry unto thee: when mine heart is oppressed, bring me upon the rock that is [b]higher than I.
3 For thou hast been my hope, and a strong tower against the enemy.
4 I will dwell in thy Tabernacle forever, and my trust shall be under the covering of thy wings. Selah.
5 For thou, O God, [c]hast heard my desires; thou hast given an heritage unto those that fear thy Name.
6 Thou shalt give the King a [d]long life; his years shall be as many ages.
7 He shall dwell before God forever; prepare [e]mercy and faithfulness, that they may preserve him.
8 So will I always sing praise unto thy Name, in performing daily my vows.
15 1 Azariah the King of Judah becometh a leper. 5 Of Jotham, 10 Shallum, 14 Menahem, 23 Pekahiah, 30 Uzziah, 32 Jotham, 38 and Ahaz.
1 In the [a]seven and twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2 Sixteen years old was he, when he was made king, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3 And he did [b]uprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.
4 But the high places were not put away: for the people yet offered, and burned incense in the high places.
5 And the Lord [c]smote the king, and he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in an house apart, and Jotham the king’s son governed the house, and [d]judged the people of the land.
6 Concerning the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
7 So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
5 These twelve did Jesus send forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into the cities of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather (A)to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 (B)[a]And as ye go preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 [b]Heal the sick: cleanse the lepers: raise up the dead: cast out the devils. Freely ye have received, freely give.
9 (C)[c]Possess [d]not gold, nor silver, nor money in your girdles,
10 Nor a scrip for the journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor a staff: (D)for the workman is worthy of his [e]meat.
11 [f]And into (E)whatsoever city or town ye shall come, inquire who is worthy in it, and there abide till ye go thence.
12 And when ye come into an house, salute the same.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your [g]peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 (F)And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house, or that city, (G)shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Truly I say unto you, it shall be easier for them of the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
