2 Kings 5:1-3

Naaman Cleaned from Leprosy

Now (A)Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Aram, was a great man [a]with his master, and [b]highly respected, because by him Yahweh had given salvation to Aram. The man was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper. Now the Arameans had gone out (B)in marauding bands and had taken captive a little girl from the land of Israel; and she [c]waited on Naaman’s wife. And she said to her mistress, “I wish that my master were before the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would cure him of his leprosy.”

2 Kings 5:7-15

Now it happened that when the king of Israel read the letter, (A)he tore his clothes and said, “(B)Am I God, to put to death and to make alive, that this man is sending word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? But (C)know now, and see how he is seeking [a]a quarrel against me.”

Now it happened when Elisha (D)the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent word to the king, saying, “Why have you torn your clothes? Now let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.” So Naaman came with his horses and his chariots and stood at the doorway of the house of Elisha. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “(E)Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh will be restored to you and you will be clean.” 11 But Naaman was furious and went away and said, “Behold, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of Yahweh his God, and wave his hand over the place and cure the leper.’ 12 Are not [b]Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and (F)went away in wrath. 13 (G)Then his servants approached and spoke to him and said, “(H)My father, had the prophet spoken with you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” 14 So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and (I)his flesh was restored like the flesh of a young boy and (J)he was clean.

Gehazi’s Leprosy

15 Then he returned to the man of God [c]with all his camp, and came and stood before him, and said, “Behold now, (K)I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel; so now please (L)take a blessing from your servant.”

2 Timothy 2:8-15

Remember Jesus Christ, (A)risen from the dead, of the (B)seed of David, (C)according to my gospel, [a]for which I (D)endure hardship even to (E)chains as a (F)criminal. But (G)the word of God (H)has not been chained. 10 For this reason (I)I endure all things for (J)the sake of the elect, (K)so that they also may obtain the (L)salvation, which is in (M)Christ Jesus, with (N)eternal glory. 11 (O)It is a trustworthy saying:

For (P)if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
12 If we endure, (Q)we will also reign with Him;
If we (R)will deny Him, He also will deny us;
13 If we are faithless, (S)He remains faithful, for (T)He cannot deny Himself.

Accurately Handle the Word of Truth

14 Remind them of these things, solemnly (U)charging them in the presence of God not to (V)dispute about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to (W)present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling (X)the word of truth.

Luke 17:11-19

Jesus Cleanses Ten Lepers

11 And it happened that while He was (A)on the way to Jerusalem, (B)He was passing through Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as He entered a village, ten leprous men who (C)stood at a distance met Him. 13 And they raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, (D)Master, have mercy on us!” 14 When He saw them, He said to them, (E)Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And it happened that as they were going, they were cleansed. 15 Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, (F)glorifying God with a loud voice, 16 and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a (G)Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine—where are they? 18 [a]Was there no one found who turned back to (H)give glory to God, except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Stand up and go; (I)your faith has [b]saved you.”
